Canelo Alvarez jumps up 1lb to a new division (literally 1 lb) wins the Championship in his first fight there at a catchweight only 1 lb higher than his current division of 154, is on record saying he wont fight at the full Middleweight limit because it's not his "true weight class", and people go when the thought of him fighting a large Middleweight at the full limit comes up.

My thing is this though, nobody can use Broner losing to Maidana at the full limit, when Broner was only 1 fight removed from fighting at 135 and Maidana was a heavy hitter + a large Welterweight.....and then turn around and be like when it's about Canelo facing GGG at the full limit.


That's an extreme biasness that needs to be put on blast

I could not imagine Maidana or Porter not finishing a seriously concussed Bradley or a 1 eyed Algieri....both who brought no detouring fire power to the table, but yet STILL beat him while at a disadvantage for 11 of 12 rounds. That speaks volumes to the level of boxer you're putting your faith in. He's so dangerous, that he cant finish badly wounded opponents, but instead STILL loses?

dog, broner just lost to the POSTERBOY of struggle boxing in his very last fight. kell brook is a B level fighter and he dominated porter like a real top level boxer is supposed to. now if broner had lost to porter by getting outmuscled that would be different. but broner didn't just get beat by porter, he got OUTBOXED. there is no way broner should ever be referred to as a "top level boxer" after that embarrassment. him and crawford are not comparable in the slightest...two completely different levels of boxing. why do you think bob is so eager to make the fight?....he knows it's a guaranteed win over a popular name. crawford and broner are about as comparable as floyd mayweather and andre berto.

I think the problem is Porter has a Guaranteed minimum purse per fight

Porter would have to take a pay cut in order to have a tuneup

Swift did it (700k for Salka) & LSC did it for that Sparring partner

Porters especially Ken might not be willing N so they jus sit on the shelf
