He has more big fight experience & has faced better/stronger comp. Also Broner's chin is sturdier & I think his power would be the X-factor carrying him to victory. This is his natural weight class & I don't think he gets beat by someone his own size.

he cant be scared to pull the trigger for that to happen:shaq:

True. So many variables in that fight that it's truly a 50/50 pick as of today imo.:obama:

2010s version of Mayweather vs Judah (obviously the loser is Judah status) and Haymon/TR ain't even fukking with it:sadrigo:

Adam abramovitz (of twitter "don't call me breh" fame @Newzz @mr. smoke weed ) wrote an interesting article on Danny Garcia

Long as hell though

Saturday Night Boxing: The Sins of Danny Garcia

I can't stand Gift so I agree with nearly everything in this article. Especially this...

For the sin of incomplete performances.

Here's my biggest gripe with Garcia. In his decision victories against top opponents, he's yet to put together a consistent 12 rounds. And there's no clear pattern in his fights. Sometimes he has faded late (Judah, Peterson) and on other occasions he has started slowly (Matthysse, Guerrero). What's consistent is the failure to impose his will over the duration of a fight. Perhaps he underestimates opponents. Maybe he over- or under-trains. Could it be conditioning? Does he coast at times? These are all possible explanations. I don't have a definitive answer but he can certainly underwhelm at points in his fights. Judah was there to be finished but Garcia let him back into the match. Danny seemed unwilling to let his hands go in the early rounds against Guerrero.

It's a perplexing dilemma that one of the top fighters in the sport rarely dominates. His resume is solid but the performances themselves can leave something to be desired

Legitimacy: 10/10

the bolded im a little :patrice:

right now i think broner is serviceable at 140..he hasn't really impressed at this weight..not like 135 where i think he was very prime (same with omar too)..still a question mark at 140

I definitely get the apprehension. I just don't think there's guys at 140 that can beat him or are strong enough to keep him from walking them down. 147 is a different story.

comes off way more :demonic: than . actually seems rather pissed about the 'good boy' image so is he c00ning to the foreign media with that cutesy stuff? or does he just know that's what he has to do to succeed? or was he just really pissed off that day and the kazakh reporter was trying to throw out bait questions?(like that "we see you're getting better at english :mjpls:")

This was a good interview. Wondering if it was the translation that made it seem a bit choppy and made him sound like he does in English with his native language.

What I gathered from the article (those who want TL:DR):
- Doesn't really know much about his mandatories. He fights who the IBF tells him to fight.
- Thinks Korobov is a cool guy, but seem surprised he agreed to fight him (like he hadn't heard that news).
- The Canelo fight talks is all PR. He doesn't believe anything being said from the Canelo perspective because it hasn't reached negotiation. People could say anything regarding his demands and they wouldn't be true. Let the promoter's negotiate, don't believe all the PR.
- He is ready to fight Canelo. Believes the fight should take place at 160.
- Has no interest in social media or making himself more well known on a personal level. His boxing speaks for itself.
- People who suggest he should change promoters are short sighted. TR and GB are no better, but what people really don't understand is that people (Loeffler) are more than just a promoter to him. They are part of his close knit team.
- Floyd is really the only well know American superstar. Doesn't think he is at a promotional disadvantage against other American fighters.
- "Good boy" is not his image. He says good boy as a sign of respect. To him, saying "good boy" to someone means they are talented, work hard, and have a future ahead of them.
- Does not want to talk about his personal interests. His personal life and boxing are separate. We get access to his boxing life, not his personal life.
- Does not think the media portrayal of him is accurate. It is not the he is solely happy go lucky or "simple", he is more complicated than that.
- He does not comment on other fighters/trainers. Other people put words in his mouth. He focuses on his boxing and people who try to create controversy he doesn't want around him. He only wants professional people around him.
- The views you have of him are your views you are projecting onto him. He is not trying to impose his personality or let you in to who he is.
- Does not want to become an American or Americanize. He wants to maintain balance in his life. Does try to learn enough to communicate with the people around him in America.
