when you throw a right hand you rotate your hips and you transfer your body weight over your front leg/foot and whenever you transfer your body weight over your front foot you enter into a front foot pivot. thats why you can use the same motion to throw a right hand or to enter into a front foot pivot and thats why you can enter into a front foot pivot to feint a right hand.
heres floyd entering into a front foot pivot
and heres sergey kovalev entering in and out of a front foot pivot to feint right hands
you can throw your right hand just as you are entering into your front foot pivot.
heres ray throwing a right hand and entering into a front foot pivot in one smooth motion
or you can enter into your front foot pivot and add in some hesitation before you throw your right hand.
heres erislandy savon entering into a front foot pivot and adding in some hesitation before throwing a right hand.
now when you enter into your front foot pivot you are feinting a right hand in two ways. you are feinting a right hand just as you are entering into your front foot pivot and you are feinting a right hand just by being in your front foot pivot.
you can utilize a front foot pivot in a lot of ways. heres roy jones entering into a front foot pivot and throwing a right hand and coming back with what emanuel steward called a clean up left hook.
when you are entering into a front foot pivot and/or throwing a right hand you are loading your body weight into your left hook and throwing it resets your body back into your stance.
fukking disgrace that the commissions are conspiring against Tarver. :sadrigo: That podcast slandered his character!
@Jae you should be fukking ashamed, you and your cohorts! fukk you!
Tarver is gonna prove you guys wrong! #TeamTarver
thats true. when you do remember to try to work your right hand. you dont have to always hit the head. you can work your right hand to the space in front of the head. roy jones used to work a right hand to the space in front of the head a lot. that can make guys scared to come in on you because they have to worry about walking into your right hand when they do. they get hung out there because they dont want to walk through the space in front of the head that you are working with your right hand.if I want to make the other guy tentative I get on my front foot because usually it makes the other guy get that "nervous energy" because they feel something is coming.

try to remember that you are in no danger just because you are in your front foot pivot. when you are in your front foot pivot you can always just press down and push off of your front foot to move back and away from punches.
heres terence crawford entering into a front foot pivot and pressing down and pushing off of it to get away from a punch
heres pj doing the same thing
and remember that by entering into your front foot pivot you are always inherently feinting your right hand in the same motion
Krack how fast is your right? You could always pivot off the pawed right into a check hook then right cross. You'd need a damn fast right though.I never thought to work the right hand that way. Would be perfect to throw the hook when they try n force their head to the slip space I'm assuming right? or at least fake hook after working it then step in with the right hand? I might be wrong but I think Danny did this against Guerrero in one of the later rounds. Going to give this a try next week and see how it goes.
I have a feeling working the right hand to the space in front of your head would burn more energy than working the jab tho

Explosive push ups? Put me on. The reason I say is it fast is b/c to throw a 85% pawing right I'd imagine you'd need super fast hands to avoid getting countered to shyt.not sure how to answer that I feel my handspeed is pretty good all of my strength n conditioning is for explosiveness(cleans, explosive push ups, box jumps, squats etc along with resistance band, speed bag n double end) I'm naturally lefty (can't box as a southpaw though krack jr does) so my left is quicker than my right.
I'd retire if I was on the receiving end of that nasty #BeterBeast combo in my avi
Yuzo how do you throw a right like that and not get countered with a left hook?thats true. when you do remember to try to work your right hand. you dont have to always hit the head. you can work your right hand to the space in front of the head. roy jones used to work a right hand to the space in front of the head a lot. that can make guys scared to come in on you because they have to worry about walking into your right hand when they do. they get hung out there because they dont want to walk through the space in front of the head that you are working with your right hand.
