i agree with this but there has been mixed success of cruisers going to heavy..for a david haye theres somebody juan carlos gomez

I definitely wouldn't call it "mixed success"...given the small sample size we have with prime "elite" cruisers venturing up...they have more success than failures against top Heavys...

And Gomez could hardly be considered "elite"...he didn't face any of the top cruisers of his era and his resume was dry as hell...i think his best wins outside of the guy he beat for the title were, Imamu Mayfield & Jorge Castro

The same Jorge Castro that lost to a nearly 50 year old Roberto Duran a few years earlier.

He wasn't nowhere near as proven against top cruiserweights or top level opposition period as USS & Huck for instance.

If I have one complaint about PBC it is building fighters into stars. They have not invested into that very much.

Sure HBO can be overbearing...and despite any flaws that a hardcore fan may spot with Wilder...dude should be a star. In a fighters case like Wilder, I wonder if that wouldn't be for the better with him. His profile could and should be higher.

top 5 nah...he's second to tyson fury in that division who actually has a victory over a recognized p4p'er..fury would be someone i can see in top 10..the only heavy i can see..and he'd prolly be a lower half top 10..its the heavyweight division..he's going to have to go on a cleaning spree like wlad did...shyt wlad has the victories and a long reign and ppl still thought he had no business being best overall after floyd retired
