I've been following Bread since he was just a random poster writing in to Greg Leon on Boxingtalk.com and because of his knowledge of the sport, I respect his opinions (even though I disagree with a few of them).

Funny thing though, Bread bows down to Max Kellerman as being one of, if not THEE most knowledgable guys in the Boxing media today. And Max does know his shyt:whew:

Same here breh.

I didn't know so many cats were sleeping on Bread. Dude been holding it down for a while.

Besides, Fischer (who I've been reading since the Maxboxing days) he's about the only cat I take serious when it comes to boxing opinions. Even though I don't agree with them 100%, they make great points and can always explain shyt real good.

I remember Bread was trying to explain what character was to some random mailbagger some years ago and he was like..."Character is what you do when nobody's watching or around." Then he went to say, that if Mike Tyson slapped you in the middle of the night while you were sleeping by yourself that most people wouldn't do shyt because they'd be afraid of getting their asses kicked. But, if the same incident happened while you were sleeping with your girl, that most cats would do something since they wouldn't want to be embarassed in front of they chick. :mjlol:Basically its in most people's character to get punked or slack off if nobody's around to see it.

It's explanations like that, which made me fukk with Bread. Plus he always gives props to guys like Kellerman, Roy, Fischer, and Tyson for their knowledge of the sport which gets underrated sometimes by the fans.

I can't stand Doug Fischer's voice but he's knowledgeable. He has alot of west coast fighter bias though; or at least when he was on Maxboxing.

Yeah Fischer does have an annoying nerdy ass voice though. Can't front on that.

As far as bias goes, everyone has them. I think Doug's west coast bias comes from him being out there and seeing cats in the gym all the time so it's understood.

Hell, I think Bread has a lil Philly bias and some Ward bias, but I'll still listen to what he says.

I do agree with him that Taylor won both of those Hopkins fights clearly (unpopular opinion I know)

and I do agree with him that Manny beat JMM in the 3rd fight and that the only reason it;'s controversial is because Marquez did better than what most cats anticipated. (yep another unpopular opinion)

Everyone has a bias, but as long as they try to be objective with it, I'm good. Nobody wants to hear/read over the top bias unless your a stan for that particular boxer/subject.

http://www.boxingscene.com/donaire-wants-walters-rematch-not-130-pounds--99173

Nonito Donaire wants a chance to avenge his knockout loss to Nicholas Walters.

“The Filipino Flash” just won’t do something he considers foolish, like chase Walters to 130 pounds, to make it happen. The 33-year-old Donaire’s third fight since Walters knocked him out nearly 14 months ago is scheduled for Friday night at Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Donaire (35-3, 23 KOs) will meet Mexico’s Cesar Juarez (17-3, 13 KOs) in a 12-round fight truTV will televise as part of a telecast set to begin at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The contracted weight for the Donaire-Juarez fight is the super bantamweight limit of 122 pounds. Jamaica’s Walters (26-0, 21 KOs) is scheduled to face Jason Sosa (18-1-3, 14 KOs), of Camden, N.J., in a 10-round, 130-pound fight Dec. 19 in Verona, N.Y. (HBO).

“I’m not gonna chase anybody,” Donaire said on a recent conference call. “I wanna make the [Walters] fight happen, but I’m not gonna be foolish enough to go up two weight classes or a weight class, where I know the experiences I’ve had in the past have led me to making the right decisions. I’m willing to fight anybody, but it has to be in a fair atmosphere.”

Walters and Donaire fought at the featherweight limit of 126 pounds in October 2014. Walters dropped Donaire in the third and sixth rounds of that bout, which referee Raul Caiz Jr. stopped in the sixth round at StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Donaire, a Las Vegas resident, also mentioned that he’d like to challenge Ukraine’s Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1, 3 KOs) for Lomachenko’s WBO featherweight title if Donaire defeats Juarez on Friday night. Lomachenko, 27, needs to face a high-profile fighter after three straight wins against unknown opposition, but the two-time Olympic gold medalist might be an option for the 29-year-old Walters as well if Walters wins against Sosa.

“I’ll fight anybody,” Donaire said. “I never back down from anybody. Whoever it may be, I’m all in. … I’m a fighter, therefore I shall fight anybody out there that is able or wanting to fight me.”
