What's good fam I gotta question what's the biggest fight right now wilder vs fury
or ggg vs. Canelo

Wilder vs Fury for what it means:

Unification of WHOLE division
Possibility of ALL belts coming to US
Possible First American Heavy Undisputed champs in YEARS

GGG/Canelo are just names. good names, but names

Edit: Luis Ortiz and another nikka got some belts too, so the fight wont be UNDISPUTED, but still

Ortiz has an interim belt...that doesn't count....fury and wilder are the heavyweight champions but neither fighter are high enough in stature now to make it the biggest fight in boxing today

It's GGG/Canelo or Kovalev/Stevenson for biggest fights in boxing

Klitschko: I Just Couldn’t Land Against Tyson Fury

Posted by: David P. Greisman on 11/29/2015

by David P. Greisman

Wladimir Klitschko barely landed a thing on Tyson Fury. That’s not a surprise given how rarely he threw — limited activity he said was due to what Fury was doing.

“I wish there would be more clean shots that I could land. I couldn’t find the right distance to land those shots,” Klitschko said at the post-fight press conference. “Tyson was quick with his hands and his body movement and his head movement. I couldn’t land the right punches.”

Klitschko was just 52 of 231 on the night, an average of 4 of 19 per round. That meant he threw only one punch every 9.35 seconds, or a little more than 6 per minute. He landed one punch for every 41.5 seconds.

He was 34 of 162 with jabs — he averaged one landed per minute and threw only 4.5 jabs per minute. And he was just 18 of 69 with power punches — landing 1.5 per round, 1 per every two minutes. It was an average time of more than 31 seconds between each power punch thrown, which equates to a little less than 2 thrown every minute.

That wasn’t due to any injury, Klitschko said. Rather, he was waiting for an opportunity to come off the jab, and since the jab wasn’t working, he didn’t send out much else.

“My right hand is supposed to land after my left,” he said. “Because of the right distance, I couldn’t land those shots as I wished.”

Klitschko: I Just Couldn’t Land Against Tyson Fury

At least Wlad is keeping it real. The movement gave him fits and took away his jab...whch in turn took away his Emmanuel Steward classic 1-2:manny:

That's all I seen too, besides the lack of infighting skill which we all knew Wlad never had anyways. Fury pretty much played "keep away" and outboxed from the outside, which is why I would expect Fury to win the rematch as well, unless Wlad sold out to get inside on him.....but then Wlad would also have to fight on the inside:ohhh:

I cant see Wlad beating Fury just because of their style differences:yeshrug:

He's not washed up though, and Wilder will have to watch out, because the WBC will make sure Wlad can easily become our mandatory within a year:lupe:

Granados: I Should Now Be The Mandatory To Postol

Posted by: Random Hits on 11/29/2015 .

Quebec City, Canada - Adrian Granados survived a first-round knockdown to shock undefeated super lightweight prospect Amir Imam in the opening bout of SHOWTIME BOXING ON SHO EXTREME with an eighth round TKO (2:34).

It was a crushing defeat for Imam, who entered the fight as the No. 1 mandatory challenger to WBC Super Lightweight World Champion Viktor Postol.

Imam looked like he was going to finish the fight early after a nice left-right combo floored the Chicago native. But after escaping the first, Granados dictated the tempo of the fight, worked the inside and prevented Imam – considered one of boxing’s most talented young contenders – from establishing his jab. With Imam unable to keep the fight at a distance, Granados picked apart the Don King-promoted fighter. After seven rounds of punishment and Iman gasping for air against the ropes Granados finished his opponent with a series of devastating combo shots.

An elated Granados (15-3-2, 10 KOs), who has losses to fighters with a combined record of 49-0, pleaded his case to become the mandatory challenger.

“I believe I should be the mandatory challenger,” Granados said. “He was in line and I stopped him. What does that mean? Come on. I was the underdog, but I just came to take it. I came to take it.

“It feels great. Once I had him wobbled I was like, ‘you’ve got to get him now. This time you’re not taking it from me.’ It was a flash knockdown. He caught with the right hand, but I was alright. I just popped right up and I knew he was going to try and finish me. We got out of it and went right back to work.”

Despite the demoralizing loss, Imam (18-1, 15 KOs) doesn’t regret taking a fight that will likely knock him out of title contention.

“I know people might say I shouldn’t have taken this fight, but I needed this fight in between as a tune-up for my next fight because I didn’t want to wait for the six to eight months for the world title shot.

“The key to the fight was my jab, I just didn’t use it enough,” Imam said. “But that’s the way it goes and I’m going to definitely come back stronger. I wasn’t thinking anything after that first-round knockdown. I’ve done that many times and didn’t think the fight was over. I wasn’t surprised at all by the way he came out. I know how he fights. He’s a good fighter and that’s all there is to it.”

I agree with Granados. He should be the mandatory for Postol now.
