Starting today, I refuse to recognize vacant strap collecters as actual champions.. until they defend against the #1 contender. Who's with me??

And before nikkas bring up Pacquiao vs Margarito. Im including that fight too.. still a 7 time champ though.. still holds the record

How tf did Rios manager let him get paid 1.1MM$ less than BATB? That's insane.

Them numbers is Bradley taking a pay cut N giving some to Rios

Member the fukkery?? They wanted to give Rios less then that N the fight was never made until Tim gave in a Lil :dead:

But PBC overpays their fighters :heh:

Lomachenko who isn't a draw at all is fighting a nobody N getting 750K :dahell:

@Yuzo your thoughts on this video if u have any ?

i think that video was a mixed bag of a lot of the boxing hipster stuff thats on youtube. the cuban system is just the soviet system. the soviet union used to send over teams of soviet coaches to communist nations like cuba and china to develop various sports programs. a lot of the instructional textbooks and courses that are used were originally translated from russian. when castro took over and formed the communist party of cuba the soviet union sent over a guy named andrei chervorenko to train cuban boxers.

the cuban/soviet guys like to fight long range. lead hand is partially extended loosely out and is constantly working and disturbing. straight punches. long looping left hook. not a lot of slipping. no inside fighting. tendency to pull back in a straight line. there is a form of in-and-out footwork in the cuban boxing system called el paso pendulo that is called chelnok in russian. its the same move.

that video does not really ever go over the pure cuban/soviet style. i think a lot of the newer guys coming out of that cuban/soviet system, guys like erislandy savon and guys like robeisy ramirez, deviate a lot from the quintessential cuban/soviet style that produced amateur boxing phenoms like vyacheslav lemeshev and teofilo stevenson.

Why don't we see a lot of 'slick' soviet derivative fighters then? Even in the recent times with beterbeast and kkkov most those dudes are stiff as fukk
