Remember what you said about the numbers being lower than 150k?:mjpls:

:mjlol:

People have always been analyzing every single thing Floyd has done, and then they tried to force feed us GGG as the one to take over mainstream after Floyd and that he has such a huge following......but then his PPV did horrible.

97k breh?:scusthov:

GGG stans LOVED to talk down on SOG and his views (or lack thereof), well, it's our turn to discuss the "fan favorite" GGG's views:manny:

And we all know people criticized everything Floyd. Hell, people are still talking down on "boring" Floyd for doing 400k against Berto, which is over 4x as many PPVs as GGG sold in what was supposed to be 2015 Hagler vs Hearns and the makeup for Floyd vs Manny they called it. Instead, Im hearing it was nothing but a 1 sided jab affair.

Literally everything that we said would happen did :sog:

Now watch SOG/kkkov outsell their struggle ppv to make the cipher complete :ahh:

i have nothing to be shame about buying this and neither should you. I got what i wanted out of this PPV.

The fights entertaining? Yes
Did GGG add the IBF belt in the unification attempt that I've been calling for? Yes
Does 59.99 hurt my pockets? :mjlol: :bryan: not in the least

I doubt the 80.00 Floyd stans spent on Berto/Floyd didn't hurt theirs either yet you had much to say about that ppv :cmsas2:

97k this isn't even funny anymore :martin:

I'll jus leave this here tho :smugjr:

The night of Dec. 1, 2007 was a turning point in the career of Chavez. The then-21-year-old headlined a “Latin Fury” pay-per-view bout against Ray Sanchez III that exceeded all expectations by drawing nearly 100,000 buys, and promoter Top Rank made a strategic shift with Chavez as a result.

Golovkin's Trainer Reacts To Canelo: This Fight is at 160!

Posted by: Rick Reeno on 10/22/2015 .

By Rick Reeno

Abel Sanchez, trainer for IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs), is not concerned with the recent comments that were made by Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (45-1-1, 32KOs).

Golovkin, who also holds the WBC's interim-middleweight title, is the mandatory challenger to full champion Miguel Cotto.

On November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Canelo will challenge Cotto for his WBC title - with the contest taking place at a catch-weight of 155-pounds.

The agreed upon weight limit for next month's bout will mark the fourth consecutive fight where Canelo has fought at 155, which is one pound above the junior middleweight limit.

The World Boxing Council has firmly ordered the Cotto-Canelo winner to fight Golovkin next or in the alternative vacate the title.

It was assumed, but never confirmed, that Canelo - if he beat Cotto - would have no problem fighting Golovkin at the middleweight limit of 160. Cotto was always a longshot to agree to the full 160, because all three of his middleweight fights have been paired with catch-weight stipulations which ranged from 155 to 159.

But now it appears that Canelo is not interested in fighting Golovkin, or anyone else for that matter, at 160-pounds. He indicated in a video interview that unless Golovkin agrees to a catch-weight of 155-pounds, there won't be a fight.

"If he wants to fight with me, let him come down to 155 and I'll fight him whatever day he wants," Canelo told Fighthype.com.

"At this moment, my body isn't ready for 160 pounds. Maybe 1 or 2 more years I'll be ready for 160, I don't know, but I'd be delighted to fight someone like Gennady. He's a great fighter and I think it would be a great fight. I'd be delighted to get him in a fight."

Because Canelo would fall under a mandatory obligation, and because the winner of his fight has been ordered by the WBC to fight Golovkin or vacate - Sanchez sees absolutely no reason for his fighter to drop down to any weight lower than 160-pounds.

Golovkin himself has recently stated that he won't entertain a catch-weight for either boxer. If Canelo or Cotto vacate the title, then Golovkin would become the full WBC champion.

"Gennady is the interim-champion and they have to fight him. If they don't fight him, they vacate and Gennady becomes the champion. For this particular fight, for the WBC belt, I believe the Golovkin's team is thinking that there is no reason for it be any less than 160. If it goes to a purse bid or anything else, we have no obligation to do anything different than 160-pounds," Sanchez told BoxingScene.com.

"I think when you put the name Golovkin in the equation, all of a sudden a lot of guys, whether it be Peter Quillin in the past or someone else, all of a sudden things change and there are a lot of excuses. Golovkin's intentions from the beginning is to be the unified champion. If Canelo chooses not to fight us, then I guess we'll go in a different direction."

However, if Canelo vacates the title and then comes back to the negotiating table in the future - without a mandatory order in place - Sanchez explained to BoxingScene that it might be possible to work out a weight limit that works for both parties.

But in this particular situation, Golovkin and his team are standing firm on the middleweight limit of 160.

"If down the road they fight, and it's not for the WBC title, then anything is possible. There is nothing that can't be done, it all depends on the negotiations between [Golovkin's promoter] Tom Loeffler and Canelo's people - and if Golovkin agrees to it then I see no problem with it. But for this particular fight it has to be for the 160-pound title and then it has to be at 160," Sanchez said.

Golovkin's Trainer Reacts To Canelo: This Fight is at 160!

:dead: at them doing WWE For The Troops numbers, and thinking they can dictate to Canelo Flair what weight a fight would be at:russ:

Like I said, for a fighter that his stans say can easily make 155, they are surely adamant about fighting at 160:sas2:

Should I bring up those old A side B side posts in this thread from a while back :sas1:

This nikka is B side to Lara :wow:

2015 Mayorga would dictate what gloves he gotta wear :dead:

Been a minute since I seen a whole fanbase get humbled like this :wow:

:russ:

Even fight hype came back with a slick remark about their previous report of 150k being higher in comparision to Glaser coming out and saying 97k is the real number:
