I stopped taking p4p lists seriously a long time ago. I disagreed with Broner being on the rings list back then and I actually rep dude.

Those same guys he claimed Adrien Broner destroyed, were all ranked in the Top 10 of the Division by RING and ESPN when Broner beat em
5 of the last 7 opponents AB beat before facing Malignaggi were RING ranked Top 10 Opponents at the time of the fight. That's a fact and cannot be taken away or disregarded

I don't think Broner's comp was bad at that time. Just didn't think it was p4p top ten material. I disagreed with Canelo being on that list as well at that time. Hell, Broner had a stronger case imo.

I didnt think he was top ten either, I thought they were going strictly off potential when they did that.
His opponents though? It's easy to call them bums after the fact, but they were considered Top 10 talents of their division at the time...and you can only face who's in your division.
Yep, even then. I'd rate a guy like Ponce De Leon higher than say most of the nikkas that's on GGG's resume. But I guess if the media sees you dominate long enough, they throw you on the list anyways.
That and potential like you said.
I try to apply the same logical standard behind every boxer though.

don't like either fighter but could be an entertaining sloppy scrap.
Coach Stafford:
- AB is not fighting Ashley Theophane next
- AB will be fighting the 1st or 2nd week of January in Cincinnati
- They will be meeting with Al Haymon shortly to see who he wants AB to fight
- They are on the same page with Haymon who believes AB has earned the right to pick and choose his opponents
- He thinks Shawn Porter will beat Keith Thurman, because Porter is stronger physically and has more will.
- Says only way he'd match up AB with him again is at 140.
