Yeah, anyone remember Tony Harrison was out boxing Willie Nelson for a while?

Then BOOM!

#levelstothisshyt

nikkas sleep on Nelson because of his Seth Mitchell inspired chin, but dude has heart and is always dangerous. He's not the type of guy you keep around if your beating him.. Once you hurt him a couple times you gotta get him outta there.

You gotta be just flat out better than Nelson to really dominate him because he has a chance with anybody that is on or close to his level.

Tony felt himself too much in that fight.

Chocolatito Eyes Breaking Mayweather/Marciano 49-0

Posted by: Miguel Rivera on 9/30/2015 .

By Miguel Rivera

The fight many are calling the best pound for pound fighter in the world, Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez, says it's very possible that he'll have the opportunity to meet, and exceed, the record of 49-0 that Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently matched with heavyweight great Rocky Marciano.

Mayweather matched Marciano's record earlier this month when he got a twelve round unanimous decision over Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Already at 43-0, including 37 knockouts and only 28 years of age, the three division world champion is getting ready his 44th bout on October 17th against Brian Viloria at Madison Square Garden in New York, as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View card to Gennady Golovkin, against David Lemieux.

Gonzalez is younger and more active than Mayweather, who announced his retirement after beating Berto but many expect him to return in 2016 to pursue fight win number 50.

"I really believe that I can [break it], given the conditions that we have and desire to win that night (October 17 vs. Brian Viloria) and the many fights that are going to come after this fight, if we keep doing the best job we can - we can achieved great things," Gonzalez said.

:manny:

nikkas made such a big deal about because they were too busy stanning Floyd....never did they realize that 2 Boxers were close enough to break that record within the next year (Cuenca) or 2 (Gonzalez):heh:

I cant even get mad when the media eventually force feeds it to us either, because Floyd did this (49 have tried, and 49 have failed mantra) to himself. Him beating 26 World Champions is MUCH more impressive, but it's too late to beat that drum now:yeshrug:
Whoever is close has literally fought nobody of note. Mayweather will always be the rightful owner of the record.

What do you mean he hasn't fought anyone of note? He's beaten 7 Champions:dahell:

He just beat someone with 30 losses. Miss me.

That had nothing to do with your statement of "fought nobody of note". He maybe fought nobody YOU know....but Roman Gonzalez record is official:ufdup:

And I don't even fukk with that fighters that small, but still....:what:?

Roman Gonzalez and Cesar Cuenca being 50-0 and retiring gonna have the Floyd stans scared to death:mjlol:

And for the record...saying that #TitoTitans wouldn't lose to Margarito and Trout isn't some type of triangle theory to shyt on Cotto. It's a Felix Trinidad wouldn't lose to fukking Margarito and Trout because he's an elite ATG welter that never lost to random B level guys he was the favorite against.

That's like someone saying lightweight Floyd wouldn't lose to Baby Bull Juan Diaz, because Nate Campbell was able to beat him. At that point styles don't even matter, it's just that you wouldn't pick an ATG elite boxer to lose to some B level guy that doesn't have any type of advantages in that fight.

Trout and Margarito have no advantages against Tito an aren't even in the same class of fighter. Them beating Cotto says more about Cotto's limitations than anything else.

I mean nobody would pick Ali to beat Tommy Morrision just because Mercer did it. :mjlol:nikkas would pick Ali to win just because he's levels above both them nikkas.

In order for Triangle Theories to work or even be used in the proper context, all boxers being discussed must be on equal or similar standings.
I don't see Tito Trinidad, Margarito, Trout, and Cotto as equals. Trinidad is obviously more dangerous, beaten better comp, higher ranked in ATG etc....than all of them nikkas.

Most nikkas that truly follow boxing, would agree with this logic.
Triangle theories as a whole are bullshyt to me. Styles >>> anything.

For example, I've always felt that Vernon Forrest would beat Floyd. Because stylistically he's all wrong for The Viper. Yet nikkas would just swoop in and say "But but but Forrest lost to Mayorga, and Mayweather is on a whole nother level" :mjlol:

Statements like that always have me like :camby:

Like I said, nobody of note. I run down the list of opponents and it's filled with guys with 6 or more losses. Congrats to him beating champions no one has ever heard of :skip:. Picture Floyd fighting someone with 30 losses in his prime. He just caught hell for fighting a former world champ with 3 losses lol

No one cares about a jockey knocking out hotel doormen on the weekend. He can be 75-0 and will never be mentioned in the same breath as Floyd.

Behind You
“Wilder has to make his mandatory defense against the mandatory challenger, who is Alexander Povetkin," Mauricio Sulaiman commented WBN in a previous interview.

If Wilder and Povetkin are not able to reach an agreement, then the WBC would order a purse bid. Either way, the mandatory defense must happen in the first trimester of 2016.
There will be no agreement reached and this will go to a purse bid that them crazy ass Russian billionaires who back Povetkin will win no problem and then Garbage Ass Deontay Wilder© will be forced to fight in Mother Russia.:blessed:

Broner: Talking To Nobody Until My Mission is Complete!

Posted by: Boxing Clever on 9/30/2015 .

SHOWTIME Sports® met with Adrien Broner at HeadBangers Gym in Washington, D.C., as he prepares to face Khabib Allakhverdiev this Saturday on SHOWTIME®. During the lengthy interview Broner spoke candidly about his approach to the sport and learning from past mistakes.

Broner vs. Allakherdiev for the vacant WBA Super Lightweight World Championship this Saturday live on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) from U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

"I'm on a mission and I won't talk to nobody until my mission is complete. When you get so far doing things your way, sometimes you don't see what you got to change until something happens, like a loss....take your career serious....the lights, the horse playing, of course of I'm always going to be me. I'm always going to be AB, Adrien Broner. Right now I'm still a student, I still have a lot more to do. I've already accomplished a lot at a young age but I have so much more to do. I'm still learning."

"I felt like I was selling myself short and not getting top dollar from my performances. You have to learn from your mistakes. When you understand and you know why you’re losing, then you can fix it. This next half of my career I’m going to be the AB that’s about business and about boxing.”

"Winning a fourth world title in my fourth weight class is very important....making history at the age of 26. It's a big move for me and I'm going for it. That path I'm on, anybody in my way is in big trouble."

Broner: Talking To Nobody Until My Mission is Complete!
