To be totally honest brehs, the ONLY way I see Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao happening is if Oscar De La Hoya can get Canelo Alvarez vs Miguel Cotto signed and official for May 2nd.

If that happens, Floyd's back is to the wall and he HAS to have a huge fight to not get bumped off of May 2nd. Everyone that knows boxing or that's involved in boxing knows that Canelo vs Cotto aka Mexico vs Puerto Rico aka The Lineal Middleweight Championship fight on Cinco De Mayo Weekend featuring 2 fighters who are offensive minded is gonna be a war....Floyd Mayweather vs Amir Khan isnt strong enough to go up against that matchup.

If Canelo vs Cotto gets signed, it will push Floyd to ease up on his demands and get the Pacquiao fight signed, because if not, he's gonna get basically punked and bullied off the date by the #CaneloCartel:wow:

Floyd's ego is too big for that, I believe, and he's not gonna wanna have "HIS" date (in his mind with all the Cinco De May-weather talks he does) snatched from him by a guy who beat.

That's my opinion.

#CaneloCartel

Another thing, brehs, Virgil Hunter may be onto something with Khan:lupe:

Khan has dominated both Luis Collazo and Devon Alexander (the #10 RING ranked Welterweight coming into the fight) in back to back fights and has shown no typical "Khan struggle" in either fight:ohhh:

Forget Floyd for a minute, Khan (imo) has proven himself to be a good fighter at 147 and is probably gonna be ranked at #5 by RING as a Welterweight due to his impressive performance on Saturday.

He's gonna pass up Guerrero (#8 currently, and his best win is Berto at 147), Thurman (#7 currently and best win is Chaves currently), Porter (#6 currently and best win is Alexander....but he got beat by Kell Brook), and Maidana (#5 currently and best win is AB, but with 2 back 2 back losses to Mayweather, plus the fact Khan beat him already, Khan passes him as well).

If Khan doesnt get Floyd, I think he fights Kell Brook next. I think he needs to steer clear of Thurman and Porter though.

Khan vs Guerrero if no Floyd or Brook next?

I was saying the same thing in the fight thread, I was really impressed with his footwork/distance against Devon and I hate that fragile chinned fakkit.

Maybe Hunter isn't trash :lupe:

Yeah his measuring/ring awareness was on point the minute Devon would get foot position Khan would jab and turn or pop out of range. I don't remember if he was doing that in the Callazo match since I wasn't really paying attention but yeah this win was his most impressive to me.

Me too.

It's funny to watch people try and downplay Devon Alexander now, in their efforts to still shyt on an obviously improved Amir Khan under Virgil Hunter:snoop:

Like Devon Alexander aint the same boxer who's a 3x Champion, and with victories over Lucas Matthysse/Marcos Maidana/Junior Witter/Juan Urango/Andriy Kotelnik under his belt...all good wins:obama:

Now, I'm supposed to believe Alexander is a bum, because Khan dominated him:camby:

Alexander is STILL a top 10 Welterweight, it's just Khan's skills are superior to his:manny:

Trainers can make huge differences in a fighter and THIS combo of Amir Khan + Virgil Hunter seems pretty good to me:ehh:

but devon has no power at all

i said before the fight this was smart matchmaking for khan, he was still open for hooks but devon couldnt hurt him

GB got what they wanted, everyone back in love with khan and actually think he deserves floyd now

i still say Garcia KOs him in a rematch due to hooks and guys like thurman and brook will ko him aswell :manny:

Did you pick Khan to win though?:sas1:

Only person that "deserves" Floyd is Manny Pacquiao. Cant blame us fans, because Floyd wont adopt the "by all means necessary" attitude to make the fight with Pacquiao happen.

I ask you...who else, besides Amir Khan, is more deserving of fighting Floyd currently when you take Pacquiao at the equation?:ohhh:

Danny Garcia would get his ears boxed off again. The ONLY way Garcia can beat Khan is by hoping he catches him again...that's it. That's a poor strategy and Khan could just do him like Alexander did Bailey if they ever do rematch.

Thurman CAN beat Khan (so Khan needs to duck him) and Im still not sold on Kell Brook until he beats someone other than Shawn Porter.

Yep. Your boy was getting hands put on him until he hit Khan with that lucky shot. He wasnt even looking:scusthov:
it wasnt lucky..

Khan is open for hooks, dont forget devon is southpaw and khan always feasts on them

he stays open for left hooks and that is why he cant beat garcia
