i peeped this friday night fights card- good way to go out with a bang. that 1st fight was crazy, duke got paul williams like laid out on the short right hook.

and the 2nd fight was a clear cut decision but those boys was throwing blows.

austin trout was in an exciting fight and i'm glad he won, but it kinda makes you wonder about him- i don't think he's a top level fighter or if he ever was. his chin seem like it became shaky over night. he took cotto's left hook well back then or maybe it was an aberration. i'm honestly not sure on trout no more.

these fights kinda show you why boxing is exciting and still pretty technical. i still felt at anytime- trout could get dropped and lose all the progress he made, lol the 3rd round single handedly lost him the lead in the fight. one mistake and everything you did before was worthless.

it's crazy now how a couple losses or a loss could send you back to lower level fights. or media, fans say you got exposed- can't expect a fighter to win every fight he's in.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
I'm still going to be rooting for Trout from here on out.:ehh:

Ever since the open scoring fukkery in San Antonio, trout has been pressed into taking the lead in all his bouts. Its been exploited in his last three fights, exposing a very suspect chin, but I still think he's got enough skill to hang , and even potentially take part in exciting fights; I'd probably also be more excited for a Trout fight than a Bradley fight at this point.:mjlol:

So word is Brook and Khan will be fighting on the same card in December to set up a fight between them in May. The december card is also supposed to include the Cleverly and Bellew rematch

the funny thing is people have this idea that floyd doesn't get hit so thats more than anything why ppl are wondering why he can't read too good

Floyd rarely gets hit. but for a boxer even with his defensive skill....rare for him is like 1000 x for us. he has had gloves on since he was 3. probably started taking head shots around 6. he's been hit plenty in a 16-18 year professional career. and thats not even including the sparring.

you know what though Pat? why we hear all these NFL players going crazy from concussion syndrome and we dont hear about it much in boxing :manny: I dont know.
when football players get concussed...they get it bad. but boxers get concussed really from every punch they receive to the head if you think about it. whether its minor or not. in football, you have to come out of the game. also you have to be cleared to play the next game. Bradley fought most of his fight against Prov with a concussion. :wow:
UFC is brutal, but NO SPORT compares to boxing where you have to take blows each time out to the most vital part of your body.

I dont know why there isnt more clamor for a Canelo rematch? I dont think Canelo camp wants to see him again.

nah

as vulnerable as Trout looks, fighting him again makes no business sense at this point in time. Would be a step backwards

yeah, thats the way boxing works. Trout needs to get some big wins/title before anyone will give him a shot at a marquee fight again. I wish he could get Canelo again.

if anything it makes me more disgusted about the US educational system and yet another pro athlete who seems to be functionally illiterate (or in floyd's case boxing also taking its toll on him)
Makes me believe that there is no way Al Haymon crooked ass isn't robbing Floyd blind.
After listening to him struggle to even say his own name on that one clip there is no way Al isn't taking him to the cleaners.
Probably pulling a Rev. Fred Sultan on Floyd...keeping him satisfied with wads of cash and merlot Broughams while he makes off with all the real money. :mjlol:

Random but I came across this on YouTube. Great fight

:bryan: at Byrd's reaction when Ike caught him and knocked him down. Bruh had drool flying all out of his mouth and was mad as fukk at the referee like it was his fault that Ike hit him like that lmao

I don't know what Byrd was thinking sitting on them ropes for that long against Ike...that left was just :gladbron:and when he got up drooling:russ:

I did think the ref stopped it too soon though. There was about 10 seconds left and Chris slipped most of Ike's punches at the end. He still was probably going to get starched but it should have been allowed to go on.
It still pisses me off thinking about all the wasted potential with Ike though. he could have been legendary if his mind was right.
