But the fight got made.. He wanted it so bad... And he got his ass whooped :smugfavre: why he dont want a rematch?? Why he dont wanna fight Ward??
Firstly he aint get his ass whooped he got the last, and unfortunately whether in the ring or in the street, nikkas only remember the end and who got the last blow, and secondly he put Sergio on the shelf breh, Jr took at least 2 years off that man career, he ended Sergio's late career Prime, that was evident in Sergio's last match..........

Hmph.........:beli:

Lastly Thurman aint slick he was uick to mention the friend shyt with Porter, then mention he would fight 6, number 5 and number 4 ww............., well considering he's a Haymon fighter only able to face one half of the WW's, who the fukk is the 6 and 5 best WW in the GB stable, Lopez or Ortiz, no Thurman you aint slick, anything less than a Porter will be uncivilized, nikkas is sick of that hype shyt..................

I like Thurman tho....something about his mentality. In a way he kinda reminds me mentally of LW Mosley....but Mosley was a lil more vicious. Thurman does seem to back off a bit when he senses danger...but that may be a good thing for him. When he meets his Vernon Forrest...he likely will never be the same. The hope is, he reaches the pinnacle like Shane did before that happens. Or....Thurman improves his all around game which I am not confident he can do with Birmingham.
Birmingham is one of those plateau trainers. He can get you to a certain level but no farther. For the record...I dont think Thurman's level of hype is unwarranted. If he was on HBO it would really be outta control. Like Berto was...getin million dollar paydays off the likes of mickey rodriguez. :mjlol:

He can always rematch Peterson for the belt this time:manny:

as crazy as it sounds...if that were to happen, I would put money on Peterson...since he would be a heavy dog. LM dont look the same after the Garcia fight. I dont know what it is....maybe making weight is taking a toll on him or maybe it was getting his face busted. Or, could it be that his weaknesses are much more glaring now. He's been Clark Kent for his last two fights.

I guess what I was really tryna ask was, if you were Thomas Williams Jr's people, and you got offered the fight for late July, would you accept it?

I already know there's better comp for Kovalev, but I'm looking at it from TMJr.'s vantage point

If I believe he could win, I would. As limited as Agnew is in ability and experience...he gave Kovalev some problems. Kovalev's people dont want anyone but Stevenson...and they have their reasons why. They would see no need to fight Dawson, Pascal, or Cloud either. Too much risk for little reward against those guys.

Jr would beat the ever loving shyt out of GGG, and I'm not a Jr stan either..................

I am by no means a fan of JCCjr but GGG just aint showed me shyt yet. Thats a whole nother level of competition stepping up to JCCjr. I like Curtis but he is a journeyman...not championship caliber. Rosado either. The only guy he fought that remotely had championship caliber was Ouma...and his days were long gone and GGG still had issues with him.

Thurman is nothing like prime Shane, Thurman is a pot shotter, Prime Mosley could bang, prime Mosley could do a little bit of everything. Thurman if you are content on boxing and not standing in spot for his wild lunging shots then you can make him lokk horrible as fukk, just look at the Zavek match.....What makes matters worse is his chin was buzzed in 2 straight matches by journeyman and decent fighters thinking retirement, what happens when Thurman finally faces a ok fighter, he's aint even face a Josesito Lopez level fighter yet............................

Also Thurman Backing up in straight lines is what will get him killed, it's what got him buzzed in his last 2 fights, backing up with a hands down defense only gives your opponent a clearer target....Although he fights standing tall so when buzzed he has too understand to place up the high guard come forward smother and hold, he was a LMW champ(paper) he shouldnt be getting toss around the ring like a rag doll by a blown up LW thinking retirement.........Im not impressed(GSP voice):ehh:

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Since when do people have to sign extensions in order for their promoter to get them a fight breh?:dahell:

That's wrong as hell to do to a fighter.

JCC Jr. KNOWS that TR is dead once Pacquiao retires and GBP is where it's at for better promotion and fights (Jr. will be moving up to 175).

No need to sign an extension in order to have a fight. That's almost like FORCING someone to stay at your company:camby:
okay but if he leaves TR and signs with GB whats his best alternative big fights?? Cotto?? If he beats Martinez. Which he wont.. Nyquillen? :mjlol:.. All the big potential fights are all HBO fighters which wont make sense of he signs with GB.. If he sticks with TR he can get GGG.. he can get Ward(we know he wants no parts of that).. He can get A sergio rematch.. He can still get Cotto.. Kovalev etc and any possible rematch case he lose

Who knows half of 168-175 roster may be at GB next year with how things is turning, remember Ward is in limbo because of contractual issues also

:childplease: nikka PLEASE!!!!

I remember him getting his ass beat for 11 rounds and getting 1 kd after Sergio tired himself out... Why he not interested in a rematch though??

no, I dont mean skill wise, I meant mental wise. Thurman is very confident...but he does know when to fall back. he is definitely not a complete fighter like Shane was at lw...but I see a lil bit of dog in Thurman mentally.
