Manny and Herrera are alike in the sense that they both find their success in disrupting their opponents rhythm. I believe that's the what everyone is missing. It's just that Manny has the power to hurt you once he fukks up your rhythm with his feints, darting in an out, and lateral movement
Herrera fukked Danny's rhythm up in that fight. He would lead and land his jabs and go in an out so Danny couldn't measure him for counters. Herrera would bait Danny at times an allow him to close the distance only to smother and tie him up. Then when Danny would try in sit back and counter, Herrera would lead again and walk him down while landing his jabs and power shots. Yeah he clinched in the fight, but nikkas are acting like we saw Hatton/Tyszu or Johnson/Ruiz. That shyt was never excessive. He used clinching in a strategic way and Danny couldn't deal with it. Just imagine if Herrera had Manny's power or hell any power for that matter. He would have prolly busted up Garcia's face even more.
To say Herrera only had success because he fought an ugly fight, is ignoring the science behind his approach.
As for Pac/Garcia. Manny doesn't blaze his guns like that anymore. Garcia will not have this vast world of counter opportunities that cats think he'll have. Manny might use the same gameplan Khan used, but he ain't Khan and doesn't fight as stupid or have the horrible footwork that Khan has.
People think since JMM could counter Pac and KO him that it's easy as fukk. They also forget that he had over 36 rounds to examine dudes style and get his timing. This also allowed him to keep a cool head whenever Pac did his rhythm breaking routine while landing hard shots.
