Arum throwing shots again...

It was a pretty normal press conference today for Saturday's fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley on HBO pay-per-view, and then Bob Arum got a little agitated right at the end, going off on a quick tirade that saw him blast Golden Boy Promotions, Showtime Sports, Floyd Mayweather, Adrien Broner, and everyone else he could think of.

Here are some quick quotes as I was able to catch them watching the live stream.

On Floyd Mayweather"Why don't you ask the guy whose picture is up all over the building when he's going to fight somebody real?"

On the MGM Grand showcasing Mayweather-Maidana during Pacquiao-Bradley II weekend"I know that - hell with it. The Venetian wouldn't make a mistake like this."

"They wouldn't have a guy with a 12-to-1 favorite fight all over the building."

On Venetian Macau vs MGM Grand (I think?)
"One company makes a billion a quarter, and the other hustles to pay its debt. There it is. Say it like it is. There it is."

On Saturday's card compared to the Mayweather-Maidana card"All fights are even money or 2-to-1. Not 15-to-1 with a big guy who oughta be locked up for the way he tweets."

"Nobody on the card had to pay anybody off to get on the card, unlike some others on other networks."

And the apology..."If whatever I said was incendiary, I'm an old guy, and I apologize."

I don't think GGG dominated like that in the 1st half. It was either even or with GGG up a round or two, but you could always tell he had the momentum in the fight. Ouma was slowing getting broken down. The fight showed me that you can have some success by backing GGG up and using feints, pivots, with counters. Ouma just basically got overpowered.

At the end of the day, A past it an undersized Ouma is still better than any opponent Wilder has fought, It's kind of an insult to Ouma comparing him to some of the bouncers and delivery guys Wilder has fought. Both their resumes aren't great, but GGG's resume is clearly slightly better. :manny:
Spot on for me (watching it right now). Ouma had some good activity, but it seemed like it was mostly jabs or punches to push GGG off of him. It wasn't GGG's finest performance - he appears to be looking for the KO too much. GGG has been great so far at nullifying guys power shots, but due to his style jabs are effective against him.
Ouma just got worn down as GGG kept coming and wasn't fazed by anything Ouma did. Ouma isn't a top tiered MW, but he isn't a bum, he has enough skills to be a decent fighter. Wilder's opponents barely have a pulse.

What will be interesting is that GGG has designed his style to be search and destroy. He will take some punches, while he is looking to give you more punishment. That is what makes him look dominant vs B and C level fighters and so exciting to see how he performs vs B+ and A fighters.

Let's see Clottey KD'd Mundine twice in the 6th, but a couple of judges made it 10-8

lol @ a judge making a round in which Clottey got a KD only a 10-9 round.

lol @ 115-109 scorecard

Like I said, they couldn't rob him if they wanted to.

They should have paid him to cover up

No he's not, he is simply a above average boxer, and a superb brawler........

Bradley has little to none head movement, he need to correct that, if Prov didnt straighten that out, I need to see one more fight of his before I could truly believe the improvements he showed vs JMM
Watch the JMM fight breh

Plus I think we a more likely to see Mayweather-Bradley fight than Pacquaio.
Still dont think the fight is big enough people cross enemy lines to make...but May will never make a deal with Arum...Bradley has a chance to get away, Pacquaio probably never will.

Already thinking post Maidana...his options are slim for a quality opponent fans will believe actually deserves the fight.

I'm one of the ones that thinks Floyd is better than Pacman by far and UD's him but I'm not giving him a hypothetical W over him. Both of those diva ass nikkas need to fight already. :beli:

Ouma was active as hell in the 1st half of the fight and threw just as much if not more than GGG and was landing at will, outfighting him in close quarters...outboxing him at mid range, the whole 9... I had Ouma winning 7 rds in that fight until GGG's power bailed him out in the later rds.

I believe GGG was down on all scorecards too.
im seeing this pattern in ggg fights too. its only so long that a fighter can keep getting bailed out by his power even george foreman was outboxed by jimmy young. he never hurt rosado and rosado was tagging him with good shots sometimes i wonder if ggg had on some winning brand gloves would he have even beat rosado at all.

Cmon yuzo i'm a huge rosado fan but he had his scar tissue looking flabby and sick, and it's been fukked up since.
Bet that Floyd saw Bradley to talk about flaws in pacman's game. Could be setting up a buyout final fight vs Bradley.
