Props to Canelo if this fight gets made. Honestly I wouldn't have thought any less of him if he went after another opponent, because he is still building his brand and clearly is still growing as a fighter. But to take on a guy who presents a lot of the same problems that gave him trouble (Mayweather) shows that Canelo isn't hiding from anyone.
Lara will have to be on his game. He has elite boxing skills, but he always seems to do something where he lets fighters who aren't as skilled as him get to him. Canelo will have learned a lot from Mayweather and have a reformulated game plan. If Canelo is able to land some good clean shots, Lara very likely could be tasting the canvas. Canelo is also going to get popped, with more heat than Angulo brought, so we'll get an idea of what Canelo has for a chin.
