you have to...you dont fight a lebedev and say youre not making a serious title run at CW..154 maybe you can use a timing issue but you can't do that for CW..he got ko'ed 3 times there

again, I said Roy could have won a cruiserweight title, you are acting as if when he fought there after being KOed twice at 175 was his only window to do it. you know he couldve beaten Hill but no one wanted to see that fight, come on breh. to put it another way, you do know Roy skipped cruiser to face Ruiz. If there were more money at 190, he would have fought there.

Roy fought at 175 from 96 to 2009 basically. During that time there were over 20 different champions. You really want me to name some of these jokers? Grant, Thompson, Mayfield, Tiozzo, Nelson, Williams, Gomez, and a few more. Guillermo Jones came from 154 and won a cruiser title.

what you are saying, thats like saying Jordan was serious about winning a title with the Wizards when he was 40. you better be trolling, dont lemme find out you a RJJ hater....I need to check your history.

lol you dont need to tell me about CW...i know the eras lol....far from a Roy hater but its disingenuous to say could have won the CW title when he actually made attempts to do it...doesn't matter if he did outside of his prime or that he didn't do in his prime.

el terrible beat the prolly the best and most prime version of manny..clearly

:jbhmm:not sure about most prime. I'd argue Manny improved after this L/was still primarily dependent on his left, this fight was one of the reasons he started developing his right hand more. Following matches Eric was outclassed.

I saw this and glad you posted. I had been meaning to post about Bud's all time placement since people are saying he is top 3-5 if he beats Canelo.

Bud is my favorite boxer and has been for years. Just like my favorites of the past, Floyd, RJJ, Pernell, Curry, SRL, Pryor, Ali....

Even though he is my favorite, I cant rank him that high. I havent made a list but he would be somewhere in the 10-15 range. I put him ahead of RJJ. I would not put him ahead of Whitaker or Duran, not SRL, Floyd and Manny are above him too. Then you have SRR, Armstrong, Ali, and maybe Jack Johnson. So just by that list right there he would round out my 10. I also like Hagler though. you can slide in some other old timers like Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Sam Langford. So at best Bud is 10th for me and at worst 15th. unless I forgot someone.

He’s very hard to rate because his resume is so shytty.

Chris Byrd would have been monster if he had some power. He had great Defense and an underrated chin. That shyt Ike clipped him with would have knocked most cats out cold.
Byrd was somebody i disliked when he was fighting but I grew to really respect in his retirement..dude really fought monsters/killers..shyt since bar is getting lowered with ppl thinking the likes of Wilder should get in the HOF..if that's the case Byrd should go in too :heh:

It didn’t help that Byrd had the most annoying little smirk in the ring.

Yeah I remember Freddie Roach saying he wanted "Manny to be more than a left handed fighter" after that fight
