I found it interesting that the older generation did not like Muhammad Ali when he coming up. Ali was a complete 180 from the older generation who were similar to the Joe Louis era. The "stay humble and respectful" culture. Floyd Patterson, Sonny Liston, and Archie Moore all publicly disparaged Ali. Jackie Robinson also said disparaging remarks about Ali and Malcolm X
Ali being brash, trash talker, Black Muslim, and denying going to War... must have made him look like an alien to the older generation lol
