from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Canelo ruining the 168 division

Hate to say it :francis:
Held it hostage. We lucky if nikka even fights Mbili in Sept. prob gonna fight Berlanga as a WBA mando
I always find it funny when yall say shyt like this because None of those people were fighting each other or unifying before Canelo got there.. Last unification at 168 before Canelo got there was Badou Jack vs Degale

It's on the Sanctioning bodies not enforcing anything
It does make me wonder, would Canelo even aim for Undisputed at 168 (I believe 3 title fights in 11 months) if David Benevidez or David Morell held 1 of the 4 belts?

I like Porter but that was an uninformed take, acting like we’re in the 90s.

Boxing got more global in the last decade and there are divisions where the US market doesn’t dictate.

Inoue is a star in Japan, if it wouldn’t be lucrative enough to fight there he wouldn’t meet the likes of Fulton and Nery in Japan but in the US. Besides, he HAS fought in the US before. He doesn’t have to do anything to become a star, he already is, it’s just Porter is looking at it from a very US centric view, he might not even notice it cause it’s that natural to him. Not a star in his world = not a star.

And I don’t think that anything changes if he goes to 126. Nobody is bigger in the US or UK @ 126 than Inoue in Japan. He’d have to go to 135 to actually find opponents who would be more lucrative to fight in the States but that’s too far even for Inoue.

True you got a point. I wasn't necessarily saying it as a fighting in the USA vs non-USA thing. It's more of that like 90% of his fights have been in Japan. Like why can't he just fight in the UK, or Saudi, or Mexico, even Australia, etc etc. Where you are in an environment that is rooting against you, that doesn't make you comfortable. Where you hear boos? lol. Just feels like he's in his own coc00n

And you will wonder forever because we will never know.. David was in position to stand out above the rest and didn't do jack shyt but lose his title twice to fish scale and an actual scale.. Didn't fight Plant.. actually ducked Plant if I remember correctly.. Zero interest in unifying with Saunders or Callum Smith who was rated #1 at 168.. Since you bring up Morell the nikka David wont even fight him which was a blatent duck that gets ignored for some reason.. The sanctioning bodies aren't to blame for anything regarding David Benavidez.. The WBC was gonna strip Canelo had David not decided to go to 175

I'm not even an MMA fan ... but at least every match-up is meant to be competitive. Meanwhile boxing is entirely about feeding people to prospects who are entirely not there to compete and then they are meant to fight gatekeepers - Robert Guerrero to Mario Barrios, same role - and these guys have to be described as "tough as nails" by the broadcaster to add credibility to the event - and now Top Rank is as blatant as ever in this. They got a 32-2 fighter to show up and agree to not throw his hands - and just like Charles Martin this man tagged the guarded prospect in the final seconds of the round (with no follow-up pressure), just to give the prospect an idea of what could've happened if the reigns were removed

You are right, Benavidez did duck Morell, can't deny that. He made up some excuse that his father was "negotiating without him" and got mad and backed out

Benavidez did face Anthony Dirrell, so I give him credit for that

When did Benavidez have an opportunity to unify with Saunders or Callum Smith?

When wasn't there an opportunity.. His team simply needed to talk to the other team and make a fight with them.. same way pbc is doing business with Dazn now. There was no interest or sense of urgency when it came to unifying until Canelo got shyt popping there.. And i'm not just singling out benavidez.. All of them were on the same bullshyt because it goes both ways.. none of them were trying to face each other.. Dirrell was C+Er level at best

Same dudes who complain about the sport dying are in here making excuses for Canelo not taking top competition :scust:

Lets keep it a thousand Canelo was out here enjoying that early DAZN money, when Eddie Hearn had a billion to put on fights and Canelo was making top dollar fighting a bunch of european bums. People ain't care for them shyts and they ain't sell but they covered that up with "oh its growing pains for this new platform". He got comfortable and now ain't got no hunger but he do got pride and he don't want Benavidez mollywhopping him in a huge PPV event-

He wants 150-200 mill to fight Benavidez to put that into perspective Pacquiao made 125-150 against Mayweather in the biggest fight in boxing, which broke gate + ppv records.

He not making the sport grow....imagine the hype and attention him fighting Benavidez and Morrell would bring to the sport back to back...the excitement and the anticipation would be crazy.....but he wants to fight Munguia and Berlanga :martin: ......Fucc this guy:camby:

"AMERICAN boxing is dying".. if you too bytchmade to @ me you can at least quote accurately.. No excuse was made.. Someone was wondering what if Benavidez hasdn't snorted and ate his way out a strap twice and had unified prior to Canelo getting there.. There was zero sense of urgency for Benavidez to get shyt popping at 168 prior to Canelo which is funny and is why Canelo moves how he moves cause he knows if he beats Benavidez yall will cry robbery or come up with some excuse not to give him credit just like you dont give him credit for becoming undisputed the 1st to do it at 168 or really anything hes done prior.... Why would he now go out his way to please and satisfy a bunch of PBC dikksuckers on the internet??

Shut your bytchass up :umad:

you been on this forum crying about HBO Boxing closing their doors for 6 years and talking about "American boxing is dying".....what is dying is British boxing.....they can't even put on fights over there without the Saudis and they have to put on them events on in the desert.

I personally don't blame Canelo for not fighting Benavidez after the coke situation or when he was with DAZN, but going over to PBC and not taking their top dog in his division is one of the most bytchmade things we have ever seen in boxing. If he beats Benavidez that will be his best win in years...... but what is it with your clowns who talk all this mumbo jumbo about "y'all will not give him credit" :mindblown: .....Y'all did it too when people wanted to see Crawford take on Ennis.....Welcome to boxing, where the fans want to see the best fight the best. like whats wrong with some of you dudes? :dahell:

I been wanting to see Tank fight the Devin and Teofimo. i ain't the one on here talking about "y'all not gonna give him credit :mjcry: ".

Imagine Tank going to Top Rank and not fighting Teofimo or going to DAZN and not fighting Devin.....They have never been under the same banner like Canelo and Benavidez is right now...thats why the Canelo situation is unique.
