Jim Lampley could be all over the place, but when he was on, he was on. Too many classic moments in boxing history that don’t feel the same when you don’t hear his commentary. Especially Foreman-Moorer.
Larry Merchant was such a grouch, but I love him saying that at the end of Roy Jones-Richard Hall at the ref desrves to be pistol whipped.
Exactly what I was thinking. But there's also a part of me that thinks Zhang can take him out because he knows that Wilder is likely to take him out first. He'll probably be better prepared and more engaged because he knows what can happen to him. This probably is an unpopular opinion but I think Zhang could get clipped because of the old styles makes fights saying. His southpaw stance lines up for a right hand down the middle. The bigger question is Wilder being able to pull the trigger
I have no doubt that Wilder could get him outta there...but his heart isn't in this shyt no more. I really think he should fight AJ then hang it upThis is a fight where I could see a right hand ending Zhang’s night for some reason. He doesn’t really move his head & isn’t mobile like Parker so he’ll be there to catch a big shot. I think it all depends on whether Wilder can pull trigger which I’m not so sure he can. Zhang should stop him though
It's not his heart. I'm no Wilder fan but one thing I will never question is that Brotha's heart. The problem is his lack of skill and other than the power, the skill he has is deteriorating.I have no doubt that Wilder could get him outta there...but his heart isn't in this shyt no more. I'm not questioning his heart when he's in the ring. I'm saying he doesn't have the same drive that he did before. He's had 2 bouts in 2 years. When you start contemplating retirement and repeating that you don't need boxing anymore, it may be time to hang it up. Sport is already dangerous enough without having one foot out the door. It's not his heart. I'm no Wilder fan but one thing I will never question is that Brotha's heart. Ahhhhh.... I see what you're saying. I didn't know about the retirement talk. If that's the case, you are absolutely correct.
