I think this whole Nelo situation also put some narratives about Errol and Bud saga to rest.

- "PBC didn't believe in Errol beating Bud" - They clearly believed in Errol ability to win and were going to put him up with Nelo
- "PBC blackballed Bud" - They were blackballing him so much that they were willing to give him two megafights back to back

Personally i don't want to see either Bud or Errol vs Canelo....fight Morell or Benavidez....why he keep wanting to bring dudes up 2-3 divisions

Bud is definitely the better fighter - but he’s an even smaller fighter than Charlo and Canelo would get even less credit for that win. Being a better fighter has nothing to do with this. I’d say Bud is a better fighter than Benavidez - but that doesn’t mean Canelo vs Bud makes more sense than Canelo vs David.


If Bud really wants to fight at 168, have him fight a few dudes up there first - like Canelo did in jumping to 175 and beating Kovalev. THEN he went after a top guy in Bivol. Bud wanting Canelo is clearly him trying to cash out after a lackluster career and fights.
