That would be a great scrap

Gary Antuanne is a dog heavy hands bro. I'm not so sure he can stay in the pocket like he has & not get hurt
Yeah I feel like he has an array of skills he can use. I saw his fight with boots ennis in the amateurs and yeah I wanna see how he approaches this heavy handed matias guy.

Real question.

If you’re Derek James, do you want to keep training Ryan Garcia after that?

After all that work, and he goes back to looking for one shot, handed slaps all night (his trademark, a nice move, but entirely predictable).

But more so, Garcia pulls some amateur hour, turn the body all the way shyt, mid fight.

Not sure that’s someone many trainers would want to continue to have such a close knit relationship with. Boxer / Trainer is a big deal a lot of the time, and James is the type of trainer that needs 100% buy in for his methods to work effectively imo.

Yes, cuz Ryan gonna stay with the bag and I want that percentage.

Ryan didn't look too bad and slightly improved in certain areas, but the areas he need improvement in the most (defense) that shyt ain't get better.

It's just his first fight with dude too. Maybe we gotta give it a lil more time. Mad people on twitter were picking Ryan to get stopped too so for him to survive his lil rough moments means something, but he still food to certain people.

Joshua done had 2 fights with James and still looks mid as fukk and this is against people we expect him to destroy.

People say that Leonard was a stick and mover but after rewatching some of his fights, Ray had a tendency to brawl and only moved when he had to.

SRL would brawl or force exchanges because of his temperament as a boxer.

Mentally dude was a fighter at heart and super competitive. He wasn't one of them nikkas you have now that will fight 12 rds and not throw one meaningful punch. He definitely believed in his skill set and attributes.

Like some dudes can punch hard, but their not known as a puncher cuz they lack the instincts to capitalize off of it.
Think Terrell Gausha at 154, he fits that mode perfectly.
