Wonder how much Bud & Spence PPV marketability changes after this fight
Obviously this event did well, but it seemed like a lot of people are just now realizing how good Bud is. This is despite dude having a string of KOs and fighting on ESPN after college football games and stuff like that. It seems like this fight helped him reach the "Tank audience" for lack of a better term
So I wonder if he would be able to carry that momentum forward against another opponent besides Spence.
The Eminem walk out helped a lot, plus MDWOG and personalities like Boosie.

If PBC is smart, they'd push Bud to the moon. If the Spence rematch doesn't happen next, i'd press for a Boots match up or a Thurman match up as a plan B option

they got crawford for one more fight...and truthfully they need to dead that spence rematch clause because its not warranted and that ass whooping was too severe

i hope maybe he steps aside for boots or stanionis..depending on which mando they activate first

but then i think about wilder pushing for his rematch shot against fury when fury vs joshua was a thing and fukking all HWs momentum to this day :francis:

Agree or nah?

people doing too much with this and the other takes (Bud destroying Charlo and Canelo)
i don't think Bud is as good as Floyd but prime vs prime it would have been a good fight
before the Spence fight I would have bet on Charlo whupping Bud ass. I still think he would lose against a non Canelo damaged Charlo but I'm wondering if I underestimated Bud power now. Maybe if he moved up to 154 he would be more competitive than I thought he would be

I'm unclear if the one more fight is just the rematch or not, meaning if the rematch fell through Bud might be a FA again. I think they would pursue the rematch honestly. They let Spence fight after the car accident and the eye surgery, let Wilder fight after the Fury ass whupping. I don't really see them stopping Spence from taking the fight and it seems like Spence wants it

I always say Charlo as an option in the PBC deal the Bud/Spence winner taking on Charlo hence why Spence’s view on that fight was always the money aspect

For everyone feeling some type of way that it took this long for Bud to get this attention, do y'all think he would have been the same fighter?

I feel like the slow burn allowed him to fully mature and be able to handle the spotlight properly, we've seen the attention get to people's heads and stifle their growth, in every aspect of entertainment.

The timing for this seems perfect, just a couple more fights and he can retire easy with his mental and physical intact, full embraced the grind and no diva/immature moments to speak of

this is what I said, replace Spence with Bud. Errol can still provide a Good ROI just on his ability to sell out Texas,.

Imo because of Age I'd do

Bud = Thurman or Tim Kazoo Dec, Mell in Spring Undisputed 3x, with Canelo Chasing Glory 3rd option Retirement match (literally can sell it is who is the ATG of the Post Floyd Era).

Spence = assuming he is healthy Rebuild journey to lead to a vacant 154 title Post Bud/Mell, and final match for a 160 belt (this gives Spence a 3 division champ career and HOF path imo just from the 147 run + Multi vision champ)

Boots= Boots vs Stanonius in Dec, unify in spring when Bud vacates to take on Mell, 154 move and beyond as him taking over the world and official start of the Boots Era

Here we go :beli:

Although he was perfectly fine and looked like a monster against Ugas. He went on to take some time off too so I really don’t want to hear any of this :childplease:
