Idk what they were but when they do some shyt outside the ring it could be off-putting, can't totally separate who they are in and outside the ring imo. You are still aware of their other stuff while they are fighting. Makes it tougher to really cheer for them for a lot of ppl.
Just take a look at these guys we have in the "4 princes" or whatever
You have Tank doing a hit-and-run on a pregnant woman
You have Teo who's just a delusional nutjob at this point and recently racist too
You have Haney who's a pious Muslim in a minute then he's running around with thots and caping for Andrew Tate the next
And Ryan Garcia who's just an all-around irritating person with his influencer theatrics brought to the table
Nobody is perfect but sometimes I also wish these guys would be easier to root for
