Boxing belts obsolete’ as Davis vs Garcia equals Mike Tyson PPV
My issue with this is how would this make him and different. It's a good idea but it doesn't make belts obsolete by creating your own belt. Pretty sure they'll be sanctioning fees and shyt just like the commissions.

If belts don’t matter then why they always find a way to get Tank a regular belt so they can parade him around as a world champion to the casual fans? Why they still need that for plus credibility and still pay the WBA their fees?
I hate the belt orgs as much as the next person but as things stand they are what we have
Making up how they don’t matter is a fast way for boxing to slide down to reality TV category for good.
There must be something that marks sporting success otherwise it wouldn’t be a sport.
As for his belt idea, if I know right a promoter can’t make up a belt in boxing, that’s something prohibited by law.
Plus you know damn well it wouldn’t be like how Floyd imagines and nobody will fight for his belt except his own fighters and maybe some other PBC fighters. In best case scenario for him his belt will earn the same status as the current 4 and then we’d have 5 belts instead of 4
Imo the only short way to unify boxing is some super rich boxing fan happen to have the mood to buy up the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF one-by-one and unify them. Then there would be no way around regardless of what channel are you fighting on and who’s your promoter

Sanctioning bodies been creating franchise belts to help ducking, funneling vacant belts to certain promotions, mandatories being mandated arbitrarly, guys will be unranked and then ranked number one days before a mandatory is called or a vacancy pops up.
But it's tank and Garcia and these ppv buying casuals fault? Becoming undisputed doesn't move the needle now and it's been a long time coming. You gotta be a casual or ldbc if you don't explain why this all makes sense somehow tho.
Legacy promotions and these sanctioning belts been ruined boxing and Haney gotta literally get financially robbed and take under his market rate or they flat out bragged they would have iced him out and these Stockholm syndrome having 'hardcore' fans would have been in here saying he ain't have the guts or when will these guys learn you gotta look long term.
Cause tank and team bringing millions of fans and larger revenue and won't trade it for a quick break from these arbitrary belts or biased media attacks he gets robbed of the prestige he would be deservedly getting.
That's why I like the ppv and live gate model cause it takes the arbitrary bullshyt out.. what do you generate not how much of a loss dazn or ESPN+ or blkprime are willing to take cause it's building their market share and trying to cement a new app on the marketplace.
