Undisputed at 147 was never the move anyway; that division is way too political. Spence should of fought a couple good fights at 147 and moved up a few years ago he might have been fighting for undisputed at 154 by now or maybe even challenging for a belt at 160.

There is a reason why only Haney has been able to go undisputed at one of the 'glamour' weights recently those divisions are always political. Setting yourself up for the opportunity to go undisputed is easier in weight classes like 140, 154, 168, etc.

shyt reminded me of danny garcia and lamont peterson...both of them had 140 belts but decided instead of unifying to fight at a welterweight catchweight which in my typical fashion i ripped apart lol

And that shyt with the 140 belts happened because Danny couldn't make weight anymore. Instead of just dropping the belts and moving up they try to sneak a bullshyt non title fight in holding belts hostage for no reason.. Had nikkas calling his mando Postol some 140 boogeyman .. I called Spence's first fight at 154 would be against Thurman. It's somewhere in this thread but I always said it made more sense for him to fight Thurman at 154 than at WW.

This also indicates that Spence is never fighting at 147 again unless it's Crawford. If that fight can't happen, he will continue on.
