I don't agree with the comparison bro. We're talking about Canelo who's been the most active elite fighter in years. If anyone deserves a pass coming off injury/surgery it's him; especially hand surgery

We gon have to agree to disagree then fam.

You don't get to say GGG is a tune up for 4 years and then when you win 115-113, its not anymore and then you gotta have excuses about an injury from 3 fights ago. Man fukk all that orchestrated as shyt he doing.

Canelo Alvarez Will Lose To Dmitry Bivol In Rematch, Shawn Porter Predicts

Dmitry Bivol is fresh off a unanimous decision win against Gilberto Ramirez after dominating Canelo Alvarez as well for a unanimous decision win in May.
In their 12-round affair, the WBA light heavyweight champion Bivol used his size and speed to outland the undisputed super middleweight champion Alvarez 152 to 84.
Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) contemplated a rematch with Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) but instead dropped back down to 168 pounds and embarked on a trilogy fight with Gennadiy Golovkin in September, a fight he won comfortably via unanimous decision.
Based on that performance, former welterweight champion turned boxing analyst Shawn Porter doesn’t see how Alvarez can beat Bivol if they were to ever meet again.
“I expected Canelo to dominate Triple G. I just think Triple G and Canelo are on two different levels, and Canelo didn’t show that,” Porter told IFL TV. “The fact that he didn’t show that against Triple G in this trilogy fight leads me to believe he may not be as prepared as I thought he would be in a rematch with Bivol.
“Canelo wasn’t as prepared as he should have been against Bivol. He didn’t have multiple game plans. He didn’t make any adjustments. He didn’t make one adjustment against Bivol, and I knew that coming back against Triple G, we were going to see a very dominant Canelo that we’d seen in the past and come right at Triple G like he did. We didn’t see anything different about Canelo.
“One thing we did see differently was his gas tank. This guy was not conditioned for 12 rounds. You have to be conditioned to go 12 hard rounds, no matter who you’re in the ring with. I think if Canelo had been in better condition, that fight would not have gone the distance.
“Based on this fight with Triple G, I don’t think he beats Bivol in the rematch. Before this fight, I thought Canelo would come back in the ring and be a better version of himself and have more variety in the rematch with Bivol, and I thought he’d beat Bivol in the rematch.”
Recently, Bivol has been lukewarm on the idea of facing Alvarez once again, stating that the rematch “is not interesting like it was before” and that “money is good but legacy is better.”
He’s also maintained that he plans on continuing to fight at 175 pounds and his goal is to become undisputed champion by beating current WBC, WBO, and IBF crownholder Artur Beterbiev.
Alvarez is currently recovering from left wrist surgery and it's uncertain whether he will be healthy to return for a fight in May or September.

Keith Thurman Wanted $10 Million To Fight Jaron Ennis, Says Boots' Father, Trainer Bozy

Keith Thurman wanted a pretty penny to face blue-chip prospect Jaron Ennis.
Ennis’ father and trainer Bozy recently revealed that “One Time” wanted an eight-figure payday to face off against “Boots”.
“Thurman wanted $10 million to fight Boots. Come on, man. You don’t make $10 million. Why would you want $10 million to fight Boots? I know it’s high-risk, low reward, but you never made $10 million fighting Manny Pacquiao,” Ennis told YouTube channel “In This Corner Boxing 24”.
Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs) is one of the biggest names and most viable contenders in the welterweight division. The 33-year-old former 147-pound champion understands his value and wants to be paid handsomely for it.
Inactivity and injuries, however, have derailed his career in recent years. Thurman has fought just once since suffering his first professional loss to Pacquiao in July 2019. It was a unanimous decision win against Mario Barrios in January.
The Florida native Thurman was playing the waiting game hoping to get a chance at either Terence Crawford or Errol Spence Jr. once negotiations for their fight fell apart.
Crawford has since moved on to a fight with David Avanesyan on Dec. 10, while Spence remains without an opponent. Thurman is Spence’s mandatory challenger for the Texan’s WBC belt.
Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs), meanwhile, is still stuck on the sidelines and has fought only once this year – a second-round knockout against Custio Clayton.
“We want to fight two, three times a year, and we don’t like that [inactivity for Boots]. So I talked to [Showtime Sports head Stephen] Espinoza and told him, ‘We need to fight.
“We were supposed to be fighting on Dec. 17, or something like that. I told [Espinoza] that we want someone in the top five. We’re not going backward. We’re not going to ten or nine or anything like that. We want top five, six, or seven.
“Crawford is going to be fighting Avanesyan. That’s who we wanted to fight, but he turned us down. We’ve been asking for him. He was supposed to fight [Vergil] Ortiz Jr. one time, but Ortiz turned him down. That’s what I heard.
“We want everyone in the top five. We asked all them guys. So that’s what we’re waiting on. I don’t know who [Espinoza] is going to get for us, but he’s going to get somebody.
“We don’t like waiting because Boots always stays in the gym.”
Ennis is Spence’s mandatory challenger for the IBF title.
