Both Alimkhanuly and Haney were elevated to a title holder status by elements outside their control, in one case Andrade moved up in the other case Loma petitioned for the franchise bs. So it's comparable but I'd bet Alimkhanuly won't be called an e-mail champ by so many.
Bumping somebody up to full champion status is a bad practice btw, idk what way but make them fight for it, would it be so hard to just go down the rankings until there's someone who can fight Alimkhanuly for the vacant title? The fighters won't refuse a world title of course but it's not a good look that they didn't have to fight for it in the ring and the sanctioning bodies are responsible for this.
