Ok but that doesn't mean he has to sign to them in order to appear on PBC broadcasts. Most of the PBC guys are free agents who employ Haymon as an advisor/manager. He doesn't need Mayweather to "get in". Spence wants the fight, he wants the fight, it's gonna happen with or without Floyd, if anything egos and money gonna be a hurdle.

Lol, yes, they are in the game for like what... 50 years... and have a track record of building up stars, putting on mega events but there is absolutely NO WAY they could have pulled it off with Tank. :mjlol: Some of you here just can't objectively talk about anything Top Rank, it's amusing :heh: Like even admitting they are a different league to Mayweather Promotions seems to be too much when it's enough to look at how many top 10 fighters, champions, or top prospects each has currently.

Don't think that Disney bothers with talking into how they should promote combat sports. Tyson Fury is as controversial as it gets and he's a Disney guy too by your definition.

Not saying that he shouldn't sign to Mayweather btw I just think it's whatever if he does or not

This is where you are twisting things.

Saying the PBC engine is massive and that only they know how to capture Tank’s rawness doesn’t mean people are anti Top Rank. They just can’t. J Prince had Kanye West and Quavo among others at Shakur’s last fight in ATL where TR tried to feed off of Tank/Barrios and that had 0 buzz, pre, during, and after.

Already acknowledged TR is huge. And they need to keep these Blood Sweat and Tears series going (pretty close to All Access)

Already acknowledged they are good for guys coming up etc.

There’s a reason why Haney’s Day in Camp is his largest viewed promotional video by a landslide though.

That being said, TR is a better fit for others. They might be able to get Haney back buzzing again (def will bring more buzz than DAZN, who literally didn’t release any shoulder programming for Haney, 0).

Haney comes across as a naturally nice guy (on the surface at least), which is what TR loves.

Facts

Top Rank couldn't even make Loma a bigger star then GGG or even paid more even tho they both came out around the same type with the same HBO hype. Yet euro twitter always acts like Loma is some international big money fight like he Pac. Hell even with Bud, dude literally just had his most significant fight just last year.

There's no way TR would have made Tank into the attraction he is today. Nah, I seen them fumble too many times with guys with better head starts then Tank. They pretty much killed all the buzz Inoue had too. nikka has to fight Donaire again in order to be relevant and they barely hyping that up.

None of these promoters are perfect and they all have flaws, but that's a glaring one for TR, just like PBC's inactivtiy for their roster and the inability to build up compelling B sides is a glaring flaw for them.

and we all know DAZN can't make a big in house fight to save their life. :mjlol:

Yo I’m still mad at how they’re doing Inoue. Drama in Saitama 2 might get 0 promotion as well considering Donaire is signed to Problemeum. I have my hopes up, yet IDK.

If Inoue moves up to 122 all the guys are on the other side of the street as well.

They also have Junto Nakatani and Subaru Murata. No hope for them if they fumble Monster. On TR’s youtube, Junto got just under 200k views for his stoppage highlights last year and Subaru Murata got like 250k views for his highlights (that was his pro debut and he hasn’t fought since). Those are big big numbers, way way bigger than some of the prospects they push or try to shove down your throat.

It shows their star potential and that people are interested. How did TR follow up? Shelf and not one post or anything since. 0 continuity.

But yeah, give me more Nico Ali and Berlanga.

Seems like I hurt some feelings :heh:
You gassing up Mayweather Promotions over one fighter, have at it

I've been called both the hater and the stan of all these promotional outfits on different twitter threads and here over the years, depending on the topic and the ruling bias in the thread/community. Here on the Coli Top Rank is the main villain, in some other places it's PBC or Hearn, etc... but it's common that when I point out bias I get called a fan of the hated on promotion, nothing new, really.
Im with you on this, tank easier to promote due to his power, the non knockout artist is what shows if a promotional company is good or not.

Obviously TR is a good promoter, but I don't think they're particularly ideal for slick black fighters
