That's because he caught Wilder & his team off guard by walking him down. That element of surprise is gone which is why I mentioned Wilder is probably more mentally prepared now than he was for the rematch. Fury would still need to be locked in for a full 12 if he wants to avoid getting clipped. To me & most, that's a fact

Yeah he can be mentally prepared all he wants but if dont know how to set up the right hand with fury seeing it or fight off the backfoot it wont matter. Its hard as hell to change your skill set man. Look at jarret hurd. Thats what i mean.:yeshrug:

Why do people act like its inconceivable that Wilder has improved in the time between these fights. By time these two even fight it may be two fukking years later :dead:

If he been dialed in the whole time training why wouldnt he improve. I dont get that angle at all like its impossible for him to be a better boxer. Im far from a pro and even me today and two months ago as a boxer is greatly improved so I dont see how a pro who is training hours a day cant.

He needs to fight somebody..waiting too long. So I guess Keith Thurman is off the table...
I don't see Ugas fighting Thurman. I see him taking an easy touch for his "1st defense" so he can keep himself in the driver's seat for a unification fight with the winner of Pac/Spence

You're assuming Wilder & his team didn't work on him getting his right hand off if Fury decides to come forward. That's a foolish assumption.

And like I've told you the past 3 posts, if Fury isn't locked in he'll get clipped & he knows it. It's exactly why he's been trying his damnedest to get out of a contractual obligation for the fight. That level of focus he had for the second is hard to maintain & only special fighters can do that consistently throughout their career with their opponents. He knows this because of what happened to him in the first fight & he might not be willing to do that again; who knows. But Fury at some point in most of his fights loses always focus, but with Wilder that loss of focus could mean an early night for him & he knows this

I know what you trying to say and i agree to an extent. But the way Fury slipped every right hand in the 2nd fight with ease was crazy. You rarely see a pure boxer have problems again with a fighter that they have figured out like that. It all depends if Wilder has improved major weakness which is a tall order to do in such a short span. We'll see if this fight ever happens again.

Agreed
Once you make Wilder throw his right hand early an often you take away the sudden danger of it. You reverse the fight dynamic immediately by doing that. Since Wilder doesn't have any other weapons, he's just gonna fall back on that one weapon even more. Fury basically made Wilder panic, which can drain your energy just like being nervous can.

Much easier to pressure someone who only has one weapon, than it is with someone who has a whole arsenal at their disposal. If Wilder can develop a better jab, better left hook, and get his uppercut going, he definitely can win the 3rd fight if Fury takes that approach again.

Really comes down to the sparring tho. If they can create situations where Wilder is comfortable firing off different types of shots while being pressured, he can overcome that flaw.
So yeah its possible, I just personally doubt it.
