Rigo’s been taking shots at Inoue. They all want a shot against the monster. May the best man win.

Lol did he watch the same movie? King Kong got pulled out twice by humans :mjlol:
Fair play to him though he beat Mecha Godzilla who beat Godzilla. Triangle theories don't work in that universe either

And why is this fight just back on now? What was the problem with Rigo originally? He got told to step aside because Donaire vs Casimero was a bigger money fight? Otherwise it's weird that he stepped back for that fight but now that Casimero and his idiotic team made the Donaire fight impossible it's back on like nothing happened

I think there is something bigger at play here and it might be a way to get Donaire out of the fight to face Inoue. Donaire being at the Inoue fight a couple of weeks ago might have played in the influence. If that’s the case it was premature for Donaire to jump in place of Rigo.

Monster’s next fight is in Japan, so I would not be surprised if we go straight into Inoue vs Donaire later this year with the winner facing the Rigo/Casimero winner.

Top Rank better deliver their end of this though. I think they will. The more I think of it, the more I’m realizing they treated his fight a couple of weeks ago as an introduction.

For example, Casimero vs Inoue last March (2020), would have been good yet nobody would have cared or noticed. Now if it happens, there is already some built in build up and more people know both of them in the west. Might have been a blessing in disguise.

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Devon Alexander (27-6-1) will snap a two-year ring hiatus when he faces Lucas Santamaria (11-2-1) on July 31st at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The fight will be televised by FS1.

As previously reported by BoxingScene.com’s Jake Donovan, the main card on FOX will feature Michael Polite Coffie against Gerald Washington in a heavyweight showdown and the Vito Mielnicki Jr.-James Martin rematch. Mielnicki, an u and coming welterweight prospect, suffered an upset loss against Martin on April 17th in Los Angeles in a bout that was also televised by FOX.

The 33-year-old Alexander was stopped by Ivan Redkach in his last fight, which took place on June 1st, 2019. He is 0-2-1 in his past three fights.

Alexander, who is from St. Louis, MO, unified titles at super lightweight and also captured a title at welterweight. His best win as a pro came against Marcos Maidana in 2012. He won his first title when he stopped Junior Witter in 2009.

Santamaria burst on the scene last year when he upset a then 22-1 Mykal Fox in a Premier Boxing Champions event. The Garden Grove, Calif. native lost a unanimous decision to unbeaten prospect Paul Kroll in his most recent bout.
