We actually argued this on the podcast yesterday for like 10 minutes. :mjlol:
3 of us said Barrios was slightly better/more dangerous opponent, while only Pat said Nakatani was better. :hhh:

sure did..it was my level of consistency about barrios that made it possible lol :myman:

Aint neither one of them anything to write home about. Tank gets a little more credit because he jumped up two weight classes to fight him. Loma actually shocked me, he looked kinda bad his past few fights, he finally showed a level again and got somebody the fukk outta there he was supposed to.

Its because you love going against the grain.
Nakatani was the bigger underdog for a reason, despite coming off a win over a nikka you ain't respect like that anyway.

If Barrios and Nakatani fought, Barrios would prolly be the slight favorite. Nakatani is not even Kamegai level if we keeping it a buck.

Barrios isn't a great win tho. Its a good solid win. Nothing more, nothing less. Dude was prime, undefeated, big, hard punching guy who was a top 10 jr welter. Yeah he doesn't have any world class wins like that, but dude is still a handful and legit dangerous for a short guy coming up from 130.

Everything I said made perfect sense especially within the context of how I said it.
The fact that you quoted my post and still ignored me saying that I don't want anyone restricted to their stable when choosing opponents, shows you're full of shyt. I can't knock pbc for playing hardball with people whom do the same with them. In 2021 if arum had Manny, Thurman, Spence, porter, broner, d. Garcia, etc etc. We know he'd keep it inside.

A lot of banners do "in-house" business fights all the time. TR does this constantly to where it hurts divisions to try to keep certain belts under them. Looking at realistically, it's good business to have in-house fights but not to the point where it holds up big fights like TR does. PBC isn't nearly as bad when it comes to that & I agree with you

like i said on the podcast breh...if i didnt respect verdejo like that, what do you think i think of cowboy karl :heh:

nakatani last 2 fights he gave a tough fight to a legit world champion in a loss vs lopez and knocked out verdejo

barrios got the shyt beaten out of him in a fight i thought he lost even with 2 KD's by a smaller WSB cat and knocks out cowboy karl in his last fight

it aint hard to tell who i think is the better opponent

the thing is , we all know to keep that energy with Arum and gang

nobody really fukks with him from a casual to a hardcore perspective

on the other hand , PBC criticism is protected by the veil of race relations . you can't really objectively criticize the PBC without people getting in their feelings for whatever reason

I see nobody defending Arum holding up fights and blocking fights and doing in-house shenanigans . on the other hand I see people throwing parties, festivals and parades whenever PBC does the same thing .

The energy is not kept the same for all parties involved. Favoritism is played . and that's the problem.

The first flight is the reason I always disagree when people say say Tyson was merely a bully. Smith, Tucker, Green, Ruddock...they all fought back-even in losing efforts-and Tyson didn't fold. Hell, he never even quit against Douglas and he was getting tagged from the very first round!
