Boxing has lots of problems but I wouldn't include this.
These are freak show events typically targeting casual fans who have no clue about the sport whatsoever just want to see famous people going at it. That's why I separate it from actual boxing, it serves a different purpose entirely.
And that's why I don't understand why they go in lengths to try to validate that shyt with the boxing fanbase. Go sign a good stable of fighters, putting Prograis in a trash fight on an undercard and ridiculously overpaying for Lopez vs Kambosos won't concince no hardcore fans that they are serious about this shyt and that the adventures of Jake Paul, KSI and Dumbo the Elephant in boxing should be treated anyhow else than what they are... a joke.
All this "Jake Paul can actually fight
" shyt from boxers that obviously got paid or have an interest to say that in the media
I mean... go mislead casuals who know no better but don't try to shove down that shyt on our throats too please, cause we know better
That guy gets slaughtered the minute they put him in with a decent journeyman.
Maybe it's just my problem but I take marketing as a personal offense like they would insult my intelligence by saying such shyt an expect me to fall for it. I know it's not personally directed at me but I get hit by strays here
Kind of hard to avoid that shyt at this point. But that's not only true to these freak shows, that's true to boxing promotion period, it's all about lying and taking the audience for stupid.
