One small detail I noticed recently, is how Teofimo specifically called out Todd duBoef and not Bob Arum, when he said "Congratulations, Todd duBoef, you just lost your best fighter."

Just makes me wonder, with Bob's age and outbursts, if Todd is the one in charge now, despite Arum being the most visible one.
I read somewhere that the day-to-day is mostly run by Todd now, not sure though, could have been an indirect snipe at Arum too :heh: Like he's saying he talks to the real man in charge not the senile, old man.
But I'm not an insider so...

todd is his stepson..he does run the day to the day...just being around arum in real life..ill say this...its something that arum comes across as lucid as he does on camera and press...off camera man blows hot and cold but he's 89..its expected

Lol, Joyce was a medallist too, there are some guys like that
Yeah though even with joyce I can see skill. He actually moves very well for someone his size. Even the head movement can be oddly good. :mjlol:
People compare to foreman but imo he more like vitali in that they are not quick but heavy handed volume punchers with that kickboxing stance from their background that are strangely hard to hit. :lolbron:

Well, even Arum said that Todd is in charge of handling Crawford's career as well. So that's two crucial Top Rank fighters potentially handled by Todd.

Who knows though. I just think it's interesting that Bob gets most of the press/online discussions going, but we're seeing Todd's name come up in a lot of blunders right now. He's also the one that sent the email asking DAZN to lean on Matchroom and stop them from bidding on the purse bid.

Nobody is hyped for GGG vs Munguia either bruh, especially not when GGG could fight Charlo for a unification instead. Like I said I'm gonna let y'all cook bruh, holla at me when GGG gets Munguia out of there in about 5 rounds or less. :hubie:

Just because you don't want to see GGG vs Munguia doesn't mean nobody else wants to. :mjlol:

Sounds like you just frustrated Mall can't get any fights. :francis:

Holla at me when Charlo KO Eubanks in 7 rds as the co main to Mells ppv with Castano. :hubie:

Bob is still the boss, but Todd really runs the daily operations.

Todd and Carl Moretti are the ones who really do all the legwork from what I understand

People are really excited about GGG Munguía huh?:patrice:

I can see the improvements and potential in him, but there's no way his defense is going to be adequate enough if he fights GGG next. Not to say it ever would be, but if we're talking about an improved fighter, Munguía still has long ways to go, which is fine, he's only 24.

A Golovkin fight turns him into Brandon Rios status. Don't imagine his chin holds up at all. I guess people just want to see G's former glory one more time before he hangs em up.

I guess it's because like him or not everybody knows Arum, he's been a prominent figure of boxing for decades. Him talking to the media about fights and fighters is a marketing in its own, duBoef's name doesn't hold the same weight as of now and less known to non-hardcore fans
