really...I know Spence is young, but they need to step up the competition. all these promoters and managers do is try and pad a guy's record and keep them undefeated. I am not saying go out and find killers, but these opponents they find in the midwest or out in the mountains somewhere dont really do anything for a young guy like Spence except pad his record. they should provide stiffer opposition so when he gets to his 10th-12th fight he needs to be looking at being a serious contender and not a prospect. What did Spence just learn from that fight?

Canelo fukked the game up.

Now everyone is trying beef their W columns up early in the game.

Lets not act like Gary Russell JR's people ain't doing that right now.

Canelo is a prime example but it started before him.

There was a trainer who once said "if you have fought 20 fights and you are undefeated there is something wrong" Emanuel Steward used to quote it but I cant remember who it was. One of the old schoolers. It was a powerful statement. If you are dominating you should definitely step it up. Andre Ward was moved very carefully but then when got to a certain level they took his training wheels off. I remember in his 7th or 8th fight he got dropped and struggled with a guy, then his team was like :whoa:
then they fought a few more soft touches before they decided to crank it up again.

@yawn nothing at all right now. if you really wanna attend just buy it now, you never know how ticket sales can go, it could end up backfiring. still about 2 months left though, plenty of time, if sales arent going well things will pop up

I'll catch the stream, I actually like the undercard bout. Big fan of Mares.

But as far as paying for it, thats a hell no.

I will buy it but still I will feel as its a waste. I said it when I first started posting here....as a lifelong fan I really got disgusted with the politics so bad that I virtually stopped watching boxing. Some of you guys are not as old as I am and maybe just getting into boxing recently so I know the feeling...like new pu**y. I didnt watch Mayweather vs Cotto, I didnt watch Pac vs Marquez III or IV. even though I know they would be entertaining, I just couldnt get up for them like I did previously.

I watched Dawson because I liked him and I was excited about the Super 6 and really enjoyed it. It was just a lot of stuff that turned me off as a die-hard. I used to love DKP cards because them shyts would be stacked! he kinda :flabbynsick: now though. I hate paying for a fight when I dont even want to sit through the undercards. Thats why I didnt like TR and GBP cards.

The only reason I have started back watching is because I found enthusiasts here in this forum who have the same passion and I kinda got re-ignited.

....case in point about politics. I have heard Bontempo mention that Paulie is a 147lb champion at least 3 times without mention that he is fighting Broner. what is that about? why keep reminding people that Paulie is a current champion without plugging that fight ever chance you get?

remember KO Nation? lol. I mean I was watching shyt like that. it couldve been good. the fights were good but the presentation of that shyt was horrible. I remember Clifford Etienne (talk about a guy that was popular but short lived) vs Lamon Brewster.

and didnt they fire Ed Lover before the series was cancelled?

I'm contemplating buying this fight too but it's really not worth my $70.

It was supposed to be
Floyd vs Guerrero
Canelo vs Trout
Broner vs opponent
:ohlawd:

I would have definitely attended that fight.

If Floyd fights Alexander next I'll truly be uninterested unless the undercard is seriously stacked

Dirrell fight was a great scrap. :salute: I love watching Anthony but damn his career has had so many lapses of inactivity. I hope he can stay active and fight for a title. He needs to use more boxing skills though as he steps up his activity and competition.

thats how a card is supposed to be but if promoters can get away with one big name guy in the main event they wont give it to us. its a shame for the undercard fighters too because they accept peanuts for the opportunity to fight on PPV. and they have to accept peanuts because if they dont, someone else will.

No one had fight cards like DKP. them shyts was stacked to the hilt. Don always matched all his fighters against each other. he was the master of recycling belts. a lot of times guys would sign with DKP and get a title shot their first fight. the problem with DKP is, you could be shelved at any time for a year or more. he did Alexander like that because he shouldve been champ the same time as Bradley even though he was younger. Look at Guillermo Jones...dude has been Cruiserweight champ since 2008 and only fought twice since winning the title. :snoop:

Guerrero looking real . He's trying to put on a front, but his bodily discipline is getting loose... he's too excited. Plus, trying to talk tough, but your voice cracking is is a dead giveaway

Jim Gray straight denying that man a handshake, Guerrero lookin like a sucka:sadbron:

Easy money for may:win:

I just want to say that the way your body looks dont mean shyt as far as win or lose. At the same time, you can tell a lot by some fighters by their bodies when they have to make a weight limit.

Guerrero looks great, but look at him compared to Floyd. the difference is....you can see that Guerrero is more of a blown up fighter and not a naturally saturated WW. is he fat? no. but I mean I dont believe WW is his optimum weight because it will take away from some of his speed and quickness.

people were making a big deal out of FMJ weighing 146 and Ghost weighing 147 and people with no eyes think Guerrero is naturally bigger. I say no. He is blown up a bit and he naturally wants to wrestle with FMJ thats why he wants to rehydrate to a higher weight.

Wrong thing to do. Wrestling with FMJ wont work unless you are stronger than him...and I havent seen any stronger than him that also fights physical except maybe JLC?

The notion of overpowering FMJ is where most game plans go south. To beat FMJ, you need speed, timing, power, etc...that extra weight Ghost will carry in the ring with him will prove nothing more than an albatross as he will be too flatfooted and ripe for potshots all night.
