Does anyone else remember the news story about Canelo's dark past in Mexico?

I know that Canelo has two pretty well known controversies/rumors -- when he beat up Ulises Solis, and when Televisa accused him of beating his sparring partner to death.

However, i also remember reading another article centered around a small Mexican town that hated Canelo because he allegedly killed someone and had it covered it up.

I might be remembering that wrong. Maybe it's just the Solis story.
