joe mesi is the perfect example of what every promoter wants in their stable = a white american heavyweight...as long as they can fight and KO somebody...you get pushed..its boxing gold

i couldnt stand him. ability wise he didn't really stand out all that much from the rest of the 2000s heavies outside of the above

then Monte Barrett, who i thought he would beat easily, gives him all types of hell. IMO Mesi lost that damn fight

then the Jirov fight.....Jirov didnt really make the transition to heavyweight after being dominant at cruiser..so again I thought Mesi would handle him...and he was for like 7-8 rounds...the last couple of rounds it was a miracle that Jirov didn't KO Mesi....he escaped with a win on the cards...barely but he got finished

this the kinda shyt that fukks up boxing. One person suppose to fight everyone when everyone aint getting it in the mud with each other. Canelo earned the right to fight whoever and whenever, same with Floyd towards the height and end of his reign

The funny part about this is that even Demetrius Andrade said all of em need to follow canelo's example and start taking risks instead of waiting on the sidelines begging canelo for a fight. Even canelo's competition know they're taking it easy while canelo is the one taking on the big challenges. These guys have no leg to stand on. If they aren't fighting eachother they don't deserve any sympathy.
