Spence has to do what he did vs Mikey, basically... fight from the outside.
Apart of Spence getting stupid or being affected by the accident I don’t see a way for Swift to win this.
He’s not gonna stop Spence, he’s only stopped 1 southpaw out of the 6 he fought, that was early in his career. Seems like he can’t set his punches up how he wants vs southpaws. Couldn’t stop Redkach, didn’t look that great against a shopworn Ghost and struggled really hard with Judah (though this was earlier...). And if he can’t stop Spence he gonna get easily outworked, outlanded.

I agree with most of what you said but do you really think Danny got up for Redkach? Pause

He could stop Spence bro. Is it likely is another question. But if Spence fights like he has something to prove then this could get real interesting. I’m not expecting it & expect him to box Danny’s ears off & while maintaining distance. Two things intrigue me about the fight

1- Spence doesn’t move his head & if you get too greedy with Swift he’ll make you pay & will clip you in an exchange. Thurman flat out said he didn’t throw more than 3 punches that night because of it

2- If you stay in front of Danny too long he’ll clip you & possibly get you out of there. That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Spence got dropped or stopped. Both guys need to be planted to get their power shots off & I’m even more curious after that Max & Stephen A interview if he’s gonna follow through on that

I see what you’re saying, and agree, Swfit can drop anyone with that left hook if it connects clear on the right spot. What makes me say this is Spence’s fight to lose not Garcia’s to win is that if Spence puts his boxing hat on like he did vs Mikey I don’t see how often Danny will get to him... If he gets close Spence can still tie him up, walk him back in the clinch, reset, Spence should be the phyically stronger guy.

Spence likes a dog fight though where Danny has the most chance of winning but Spence showed already that it’s not a problem for him to box 12 rounds on the outside so I trust in his decision making.

Mikey quit N had zero desire to make it a fight None :francis:


Swift can definitely be outboxed N is too economical with the punches but he’ll keep plodding forward N make an account for himself ... it will be 10Xs harder for Spence to do Swift what he did to Mikey

I agree with you but the bolded I think is debatable. Spence might be the most physically strong WW but I rewatched the Porter/Swift fight & noticed Danny could tie him up & not get maneuvered in the clinch which is a hard thing to do against Porter. I think his physical strength is underrated. I think Spence is going up against a guy that is almost if not as strong as him physically

We all thought Porter would maul Swift N he didn’t ...Swift handled that shyt... which makes getting a L in that fight even more :stopitslime:
