Wasn't trying to stay up till 5 am for this, and glad I didn't. Watched this morning, what's to say... It was a glorified exhibition with 2 mismatches and a half-friendly fight between 2 legends in their 50s. It was nice to see them doing some of their trademark moves, Tyson seems to left more killer instinct in him than Roy who never really tried to land anything big. The commentator team was put together catering to casuals of course with Snoop Dogg, a popular UFC fighter, and a Leonard who was already proven to be bad at this on DAZN.

Naturally, they will keep doing these carny exhibition and celebrity cards as long as it brings viewers but this form of entertainment was never my go-to and I don't think it would really bring any new viewers to the sport. But oh well... it doesn't take anything from it either, it's just gonna co-exist with the actual sport... :yeshrug:

And no, neither Tyson nor Jones beating any top 10 HWs today, stop it :mjlol:

Disappointed in Dubois, not just the knee but that he was absolutely clueless about what to do with Joyce's jab. Zero adjustments. Joyce jabs had kind of an awkward rhythm to them and he throws them on an unorthodox way too but CMON them jabs weren't so fast and powerful that nothing could have been done about them. DDD hasn't even tried to make that shyt a non-factor. Just stayed in range getting peppered by jabs like a fool. In exchange, he landed some good combinations on Joyce but he should have realized that he won't put this sturdy mfer away and changed to plan B. If there was a plan B...

His corner sucked too, didn't sound like they know what to do. It might have been better if they pull him out before that knee could have happened. Even an RTD would have been a better look than this. Dubois is still very young, especially for a HW but I don't know if he can get past this mentally, a very ugly way to lose even if the fight was close in terms of rounds won by each plus he collected a broken orbital + nerve damage.

PBC, Matchroom, TR, & Golden Boy need to watch what Triller did tonight....something like this should have failed and it was most likely the most watched and entertaining boxing PPV this year...everything fired on all fukking cylinders...the fights, the commentary, the production values...for an exhibition?!! the music performances were the only downside but it was temporary struggle haha..snoop's performance at the end brought it where it needed to be

happy to have been proven wrong on this

The Charlo's PPV was worth every penny. :yeshrug:

I didn't watch this though, aint interested in seeing 2 old nikkas fight. Looking like my drunk ass uncles at a kickback and shyt. :mjlol:

Not a good idea, DLH must be more careful with what's he has left now that Canelo stepped off.
Ortiz is a good prospect but I don't think he's ready for the top level.
And the schedule doesn't feel right either. First let's get Bud vs Spence then the new generation like Ortiz and Ennis can try and dethrone the one king of 147 let that be anyone

Yeah you're right. It's a big fukking joke.
Mike doesn't beat any top 10 HWs, let alone the top 3. You know it too.
Nostalgia is one thing, delusion is another. Mike looked decent for a 54 years old legend boxing with another old legend who was breathing heavy after one 2 minutes round, is smaller than him, and never tried to hurt him with anything.
Really, I mean no disrespect to either one, both were great in their primes and they did a lot for the sport but no, they ain't beating any of the better HWs today.

Man I'm not saying he's beating active fighters ffs. But if you have a eye for boxing you can see that his technique is still up there and the only thing holding him back is Father Time.

No HW from todays age would be a Pro fighter during his reign. I mean...
Deontay Cinder Block Wilder vs Mike in his prime? That would be a PPV murder man.

Ruiz? Lol. He would loose weight running from Mike. Tyson Fury? Lol.
