Shane Mosley Jr. Vows To Get On The Title Ladder in 2020
By Chris Glover

Published On Tue Oct 29, 2019, 05:34 AM EDT

Shane Mosley Jr and Victory Sports and Entertainment, headed up by Mike Leanardi and Rick Torres have announced a long term partnership that will see Leanardi and Torres guiding the career of Mosley Jr going forward.

Mosley Jr has boxing in his blood, with his father Shane, who's glittering career including world titles at 135, 147 and 154 titles and is a dead set future Boxing Hall of Famer. Mosley Jr, however, is looking to forge his own path in the professional fight game, and after 18 fights as a pro the Pomona native believes he is coming into his own as a professional.

Mosley Jr discussed his link up with VSE. He said, "I am absolutely delighted to be linking up with Victory Sports and Entertainment and I would like to think Mike Leanardi and Rick Torres for giving me the opportunity to push on with my career under their guidance.

"VSE has brought along some really top quality names in recent times such as Ja'Rico O'Quinn, Sonny Frederickson and took Jose Pedraza to a world title, so I am very confident they can get me the opportunities I crave. I'm 28 years of age and I'm coming into my own as a pro, and I believe that I have titles in me and I want to be contesting them next year."

Mosley Jr gained notoriety for a solid showing on the hit tv show 'The Contender' as well as showing he is willing to travel the world over for opportunities, as he competed recently in Australia, giving a gallant effort down under. The now based Las Vegas Mosley Jr opened up about following in his dad's footsteps and his ideals for the future.

The middleweight contender stated, "I've really created my own path in boxing. People will always link me to my father but he was a once in a generation type of fighter. It would be crazy to try and follow his path as he was special and achieved things that people only achieve once in a generation. I am my own man and that's why I have taken the path I have done in boxing.

"I believe I have titles in me and I want to get on the title ladder in 2020. I want to build correctly and challenge for titles and break into the world ratings. I have a fantastic team around me from a training and management perspective so everything is falling into place. I believe it is now or never and I am out to prove that I have the quality to mix it with the best."

Mike Leanardi, co-owner of Victory Sports and Entertainment opened up about his latest acquisition Mosley Jr.

The Las Vegas based manager stated,"I've known Shane for a number of years now and I've always been impressed by his dedication to the sport. He didn't have a lot of amateur experience so he's had to learn on the job quite a bit but I feel like he's really turned the corner. He has an excellent trainer in Justin Gamber and a world class conditioning coach in Larry Wade, sky is the limit."

your stars are but dust on my shoes
you going to roll the dice on that? well isnt that in your state anyways? so no flights needed lol

Definitely.

I was legit bummed when the rematch was scrapped cause I had a feeling it would be relocated somewhere on the east coast. Honestly, I'm really surprised the fight isn't landing on the ATL card, that would've been an EVENT. Charlo bringing out Houston, and Harrison bringing out Detroit PLUS you got Tank headlining, that would've been an incredible weekend in Atlanta.

I live in the bay area, which is about 6 hours away from LA. I've made that drive before, but the flights are cheap enough for me to forget about having to endure that long drive again lol.

Don't imagine the tickets are going to be very expensive for this bout either, so I can't pass it up.

Gotta say though, at least I got to see Rigo have an exciting match on that Charlo Cota card.:russ:
