I really don't get your hangup with Gervonta's skillset and talent
I even liked Davis when he beat Pedraza. Ever since then his lack of dedication showed. He looks very good blasting out no hopers and he’s “talented”, he might as well collect a few belts in a few divisions but has he got what it takes to be a defining fighter of his era? I don’t think so at this point but you’re free to believe otherwise.

Lack of dedication results in greatness only in the rarest of instances.

And also he fights nothing like Pac, it was a dumb ass comparison based on both of them being stocky dudes.

RBF Plan To File Lawsuit Over Maxim Dadashev's Death

According to the Russian Boxing Federation, they plan to a lawsuit with respect to the tragic death of junior welterweight Maxim Dadashev, who last week passed away from injuries that he suffered in an IBF world title eliminator against Subriel Matias.

He took a lot of punishment, with his trainer finally stopping the fight at the end of the eleventh round.

The 28-year-old boxer would quickly become ill as he left the ring and needed help from his team to get on a stretcher. He was taken to a local hospital, where it was discovered that he suffered a subdural hematoma. He underwent emergency surgery, placed in a coma, and it was revealed by the doctors that he suffered severe brain damage. He would die a few days later.

The federation is going to file a lawsuit on behalf of Dadashev's widow Elizaveta Apushkina.

They are apparently going to challenge that Dadashev's medical records were not examined closely enough before he entered the ring.

“The lawsuit will be made on behalf of Maxim’s widow, the federation will provide help and assistance,” a federation spokesman said, TASS reported.

“We have already involved lawyers, who are preparing documents. There are two factors for the submission of the lawsuit: the first is the suspicion, that the authenticity of Maxim’s medical documents were not checked, and that he suffered from prior health problems.

“The second factor is there were violations in providing emergency medical services to the boxer inside and outside the ring, that also could lead to this outcome.”

Dadashev’s manager, Egis Klimas, lashed out at the overseas claims that his boxer's medical records may have been altered to allow him to fight,

“It is lunacy. Max did not falsify any medical documents. He always passed medical tests upon the request of the state in every fight or every other fight. They gave him a brain scan, performed an MRI,” Klimas said, TASS reported.

Some people have a hard time accepting that you can't do anything to stop ring deaths in boxing. It comes with the territory. Safety of fighters improved greatly since the 90's or espacially since earlier deaced sut it will NEVER get to the point where it will be totally safe and excludes the possibility of deaths. Dadashev fought on a big event (compared to all the event to the world) on a big channel, not on some obscure Aregntinian card like poor Santillan. They had modern safety equipment at hand and Dadashev still died, this always gonna be a part of boxing.
Only thing which could be done imo is what Ward said, starting same day weigh ins so the fighters may cut less weight and they enter the ring with more fluids in their body. That will still not exclude the possiblity of deaths though.

i had a feeling they were going to go the medical records angle...see if dadashev had any type of neurological impairment or brain issue that was "worked around" before that fight..you'd be surprised how frequently this happens in boxing

They are scanned before higher level events aren't they?

Now in fringe shows in Argentina... that's a different matter

Is LBDC just a pro-black boxing thing? I’m an old head and these YouTube comments been shouting It Out

It’s a non bias view of boxing from a collective of guys that have come together to expose the bullshyt from guys like Hearn and AJ.
