Why is Mayweather saying to Pac he signed him?
Pac signed to PBC, it's Haymon's as far as I know.
Mayweather is definitely linked closely with Haymon-Showtime-PBC world but to say he signed Pac is a stretch, he has his own promotional company MP and Pac isn't signed there.
Also it's not true that Pac's whole career was built on Mayweather's name. Their careers are intertwined cause they were two of the best fighters of their era who haven't fought until both were after their prime and that made fans comparing the two and hypothesize about who would win for years but that doesn't mean that Pac became who he became because of Floyd.
I get his point about the forcing of the rematch though, it can be frustrating when you are retired, beat the guy 118-110/117-111 without any debate and they keep nagging you about he rematch but how is this only Pac's fault? Mayweather should know better, it is what it is, Pac wants the biggest money fight obviusly and idk why Floyd is pretending that he didn't know they (not only Pac but PBC/FOX too) gonna try to angle for a rematch or at least throw it in there as a possibility.

Pac has to hold blame because he never gave floyd the proper respect for beating him. He still claims he won and that his shoulder was fukked up. And the media ran with injury excuse ever since.
I think the rematch already woulda happened if pac just gave floyd his proper credit after the fight. Just admit you got beat fair and square and ask for the rematch. Don't make excuses. Remember pac had foot locker commercials basically calling floyd a coward. The shyt was personal. I'm not a big foyd fan but manny making excuses was some weak shyt. But I still wouldn't be surprised if the rematch happens cause floyd still loves money

Pac beat the likes of Morales, Barrera, JMM before all the May vs Pac talk. He beat some fighters Mayweather already did but he fought Cotto before Mayweather and he fought Margarito.
DLH, Hatton, Mosley were the bigger names he fought after Mayweather beat them.
Their careers definitely intertwined after a while but I don't see it as they got famous on the other's back

Things are not clear. Is Floyd not just someone who's close with Haymon and the PBC branch? He is actually involved as a stakeholder? If so to what extent, what he can decide on, etc... Thought this is Haymon's project not Floyd's and the two are not = even though they are close to each other.
Mayweather has his own promotion company to what Pac is not signed to so as far as we know Floyd didn't sign him and doesn't promote him.
