Which boxer do you feel had underrated power? I feel SRL for me considering the people he stopped but thats probably because of how good his other assets and skillset was. He was one of the best finishers ever imo when he smelled blood
i think you can make a good argument that ray leonard is the best fighter ever.

Don’t really care about subjective p4p lists, nor do I follow them. Bute was one of the top guys at 168 at that particular point in time. There was a push for him to fight the winner.

Yes because he would have beaten him. However, I always had the impression that Team Ward didn’t “like” the fight. Maybe they just wanted to see against a top guy first, because it ended up being a huge mistake.

Nah I still felt like Ward should have fought Bute. Not disagreeing with you at all. Its just that nikkas gonna excuse it because Froch took that work so we know dude aint as good as he was cracked up to be even though styles make fights.

With Bud and this era of weight hopping, dude is looked at as one of the best boxers in the world without ever facing someone that was a real threat to beat him. shyt look worse imo cuz at least Bute was only at super middle building his name. If you the king at super middle, you may as well fight him....but at welter If you're the one guy that got all the belts at PBC against proven threats, fukk is Bud belt going to prove when he barely proven himself.

Oscar the :stylin::mj: is what made people forget he was a killer... Tito destroyed the nikkas mystique :smugfavre:

Undefeated against Mexicans:ahh:
True:patrice:

I see Oscar dominating ww/jmw in 2019....In 2019 off eye ww-mw Tito is a 10 loss fighter:manny:

SN: Tito should've took short money if he felt he won, he didn't though

And the Hearns draw :yeshrug:
i think if you go back and count all the rounds up, you give it to hearns cause of the knockdowns, but the fight itself still feels close, cause ray hurt hearns just as many times as hearns hurt him, and might have hurt him more. a lot of people, myself included, feel that hearns was lucky it was a 12 round fight, on the account that hearns looked like he was going to get knocked out again the way ray had him staggering all over the ring late in the fight same way he did in the first fight. you can watch the last round of that fight again and tell me if you think hearns would have lasted through three more rounds of that.

Yeah i'd agree with that. To be honest i haven't watched that fight since i was a young man, the concept of shots accumulated and points per round was less of a concept to me then, like most casual fans i was more impressed with power punches and knockdowns.

That being said it did seem as if Hearns had him early but it was a matter of when, not if Hurns would get put away. He held on.
