You basing that off of what he did to a super scrub:mjlol: Wilder the king of cherry picking and I dnt think he reached back that far in the cherry bag.

Calling Fury a master boxer when he went life and death with USS Cunningham and only won that fight when he did some borderline illegal shyt. I ain’t forgot. It’s easy to outbox stiffs.
Ortiz UDs Fury no doubt.

nikkas in here applauding that weak ass head movement against a super scrub. I dne seen wilder do that same shyt against a scrub also and I’m not even a Wilder stan.

Canelo did that against y’all HOF box king and y’all won’t give him any credit.

All the attention on Fury sorry ass and the CW division had nun but fades and fukkery this weekend :lawd:

Usyk is going to run thru all these heavyweights mark my words.
U think I just noticed that last night and came to that conclusion after 2 rounds??

I noticed it when he fought wlad, when he came out with the head movement in the first round I was :ohhh:

This isn’t that head movement u see flashes from other boxers where they exert a lot of energy. His is natural and fluid, it’s a gift.

:ohhh:

Heard rumors about GRJ going to DAZN a few weeks ago, this seems to be a pretty big clue to me that he's really going. Why else would they bother to do a mini doc on his family?

If that's the case though...

Will he accept that he will have to fight more than once a year? :mjlol:

And who's there for him at DAZN in 126 as a good opponent? LSC is with PBC, Warrington, Valdez and Frampton are with ESPN.

Either way its good having the Russell's out on boxing social media...they are good peoples

Is this generation of CW better than this generation of HW?

I count the likes of Usyk, Gassiev, Briedis, Dorticos, Glowacki, Lerena, Makabu, Tabiti, Kalenga, Kudryashov... as this generation's cruisers and the likes of Fury, AJ, Wilder, Ortiz (old as shyt but he was/is relevant in this generation), Whyte, Ruiz, Parker, Rivas, Kownacki (maybe Pulev and Povetkin but they are borderline) as this generation of HWs

Res cruiserweight has been better than heavyweight since the mid 2000s..this generation of CW is def better than this generation of HW

yeah its been better honestly. Even when HW went through that awful periods CW had dope matchups and fighters. It just didn't get the rep because its in the shadow the glamour division.

Pure facts...cruiserweight :ohlawd:

I think most of these CW should move up. I think they can make it interesting since our era of HWs not being being too skilled. If they just dnt get caught first. But atleast it will be entertaining :yeshrug:

Even Fury said (before wilder fight I think) his hardest fight was Cunningham because he couldn’t outbox him like all the other stuffs, Fury ending up KOing him but it was very interesting.

Good point about paying for the slots but as far as the viewers and other networks are needed concerns I think ESPN would’ve been more than capable to pull it off .Between ESPN,ESPN 2,ABC and now ESPN + they would’ve had more than enough outlets and if need be they could’ve consolidated those mediocre cards ...We didn’t need main events featuring Berto,Victor Ortiz and Ghost Guerrero . ESPN is a beast at making EVERYTHING seem like a can’t miss event . They just had a two hour breakdown of Fury and The German guy ..I can only imagine what they could do with a fight that actually meant something

If wilder was on ESPN we wouldn’t be having those “is he a Star/draw “ conversations..ESPN would’ve manufactured him into one along with damn near the entire roster

If Wilder fought on Fox he wouldn't be having those “is he a Star/draw “ conversations. Showtime is holding him back. If anything thing they should have put his last fight on CBS. ESPN has Terrance Crawford and look at the numbers he is doing. They didn't even announce his last PPV buys because they were so bad. Even Lomenchenko really doesn't do big numbers.
Fox is better for growing the sport and getting causal fans. Their ratings have been solid when they have good fights on.

They have a solid card for their PPV

CW needs to be really shined on and I do think some of those guys should move up. But this helps my theory that we should move the weight limit of CW to 210 so that those extra couple guys can get down and I guy like Wilder can be a two division champ.
The weight limit for CW is fine. The range for it is wide enough over 175 to 200. Even if a fighter can boil down to CW after being at heavyweight for a specific time, it might not work out depending on how much damage they picked up.
