Sensational undefeated prospect Joey Spencer (6-0, 6 KOs) will step into the ring for a six-round super welterweight bout that will kick off the PBC on FS1 main card at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The event is headlined by former world champions Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin and Minnesota-native Caleb "Golden" Truax battling in a 12-round IBF super middleweight title eliminator, and also features top middleweight contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko taking on Jack Culcay in a 12-round IBF title eliminator.

Rounding out the card is unbeaten St. Petersburg, Florida-native Mycheal Teal in a four-round middleweight contest against Antonio Louis Hernandez and undefeated Uriel Lara out of c00n, Rapids, Minnesota facing Jeremiah De Los Santos for four-rounds of welterweight action.

Representing his hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y., Colbert (10-0, 3 KOs) has begun to make a name for himself showing off tremendous skills across his first 10 pro victories. The 22-year-old most recently dominated Josh Hernandez on FS1 in January and he will return to fight at The Armory for the second time after defeating then unbeaten Austin Dulay on FS1 last April. 33-year-old Briones (29-8-2, 21 KOs) fights out of Aguascalientes, Mexico and most recently fought former champion Scott Quigg in October.

Korobov: In My Heart, I Don't Believe Charlo Will Fight Me Again

By Keith Idec

Matt Korobov believes he’ll get another title shot later this year.

The Russian southpaw just doesn’t think Jermall Charlo will be the middleweight champion who’ll afford him that opportunity. Korobov is convinced Charlo learned during their December 22 bout that Korobov is too high-risk, low-reward to face again, even though their 12-round fight three months ago warrants a rematch.

“Hopefully I am wrong, but in my heart I don’t believe Charlo will ever get back in the ring with me again,” Korobov told BoxingScene.com. “He knows what I did on six days’ notice. With a proper training camp, I would be even more dominant.”

Korobov took their fight on just six days’ notice, once Charlo’s original opponent, Willie Monroe Jr. (23-3, 6 KOs), provided an adverse sample in a performance-enhancing drug test. That didn’t stop Korobov, who was scheduled to fight on the Charlo-Monroe undercard, from truly testing Houston’s Charlo in their 12-round, 160-pound championship match at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Charlo (28-0, 21 KOs) beat Korobov by bigger wider margins than their back-and-forth action suggested (119-108, 116-112 and 116-112).

“I won the fight, but the judges felt the opposite,” Korobov said. “Life is this way. I will get another opportunity for a world title, I believe at end of 2019.”

First, the 35-year-old Korobov (28-2, 14 KOs) must get past Immanuwel Aleem (18-1-1, 11 KOs) in a 10-rounder FOX will air as part of a tripleheader May 11. The Korobov-Aleem match will be televised before Jarrett Hurd (23-0, 16 KOs) defends his IBF/IBO/WBA 154-pounds titles against Julian Williams (26-1-1, 16 KOs, 1 NC) at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

“Immanuwel Aleem is rated top 15 in WBC and is tough opponent,” Korobov said. “I am not looking past him. I will train hard for Aleem because he has good skills and is hungry. But I am hungry, too.”

Korobov hopes to impress the large audience FOX figures to command for his fight against Aleem, of Richmond, Virginia.

“I am very happy to be back on PBC and FOX,” Korobov said. “My managers [Mike Borao and Jameel McCline] receive offers to fight on other television, but PBC gave me chance against Charlo, so I will stay with PBC. I am very happy all of my family, friends and millions of people can watch me for free on FOX. I will not be satisfied until I win a world title. I know I will accomplish this goal. May 11 is just another step in that direction.”

Charlo, meanwhile, is expected to return to the ring in June. His opponent hasn’t been solidified, but Brandon Adams (21-2, 13 KOs) is one of the candidates to fight for Charlo’s WBC interim middleweight title.

i still cant believe they gave mall the fight...he lost that shyt clear and wide..well young aleem will clear all that shyt up

Female Reporter Hires Powerful Attorney Over Kubrat Pulev Kiss

According to TMZ, the female reporter who was suddenly kissed by Kubrat Pulev during an interview has lawyered up ... and she hired powerful attorney Gloria Allred, who's been involved in a who's who of high profile sexual assault cases.

The video went viral over the weekend -- showing 37-year-old Bulgarian heavyweight planting a kiss on the mouth of reporter Jennifer Ravalo, AKA Jenny Sushe, during a post-fight interview.

TMZ notes that Allred is holding a press conference Thursday to announce the plan of attack.

A few days ago, Pulev, the IBF's #1 heavyweight contender, dismissed criticism for forcibly kissing Ravalo on the lips during their interview on Saturday night.

The 37-year-old had just defeated Romanian Bogdan Dinu in Las Vegas, his 27th win in 28 professional fights and seventh victory since his 2014 knockout loss to former world champion Wladimir Klitschko.

After the fight, he was interviewed by Ravalo.

Ravalo asked Pulev whether he should now have the opportunity to fight British boxer Tyson Fury, to which he responded "yes" before putting his hand on her face and kissing her, without her consent.

She laughed off the incident at the time but later described it as "embarassing" and "strange" on Twitter, commenting on a post by a self-described boxing fan from Australia who appeared to find the clip entertaining.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, Pulev defended his actions saying: "You may have seen a clip of me kissing a female reporter following an interview after I won my fight Saturday night. The reporter, Jenny, is actually a friend of mine, and after the interview, I was so elated, I gave her a kiss."

"Later that night, she joined me and my other friends at my post-fight celebration. On the video, after our kiss, we both laughed about it and thanked each other. There really is nothing more to this."

While some social media users appeared to find the incident amusing, others condemned Pulev's actions, saying they constituted sexual harassment, and that he should be banned from the sport.

of course :heh:
