That's a good question breh...esp since I said the same on here during GGG's reign and was one of the few on here to bash 147 for what it still is today.

147 has names but most aren't special.
It says something when a 40 year old Manny can serve 90% of the division.

I know that's the advertised narrative but he won't prove he's the best 147er by beating Mikey.
Let's be real, Mikey never fought at 147 before and the size difference is big.
Hence the Brook win was better than the Mikey win would be imo.
Yesterday on FOX they were showing the fabulous 4 then they showed this era's supposed 4 top 147ers with Porter, Thurman, Spence and instead of Crawford they put Mikey there. That's petty. I know they really want to sell this PPV but it is petty. Mikey hasn't got 1 fight at 147 so far and just cause you pretend fighters on rival networks don't exist they won't just disappear.

He couldn't even beat Jeff Horn clearly and hasn't beaten a top 10 Welterweight in 3 years.
He could "wipe out 90% of the division" because he's able to beat a paper titlist and a gatekeeper, both who's best weightclasses are @ 140?

If you know Triple Gs history (36yrs old, only taken two fight where he wasn’t the favorite, drew and lost in both) you know he would never take Andrade after the ass whooping Canelo laid on him. Crawford's resume isn't great but he beat solid dudes. Unlike Porter or Swift who sometimes struggled against similar level competition, especially lately.Thurman did unquestionably more at 147 so far than Bud or even Spence but how good is Thurman now? Against Lopez he was far from convincing imo.
Pac is still very good but old and regardless of what anyone thought about the Horn fight's result he got his shyt pushed by Horn

Crawford doesn’t have a win close to Swift or even AB. He’s consistently ranked in the top 3 p4p and has been for years just off the eye test. Cmon lol.
