I never read much of fights happened long years ago
recent form counts more than anything else

He came back against a legit 154 pounder in Rabcenko and he beat him easily in 2 rounds
He might be too small for big ass 154ers like Hurd or Charlo but he's gonna beat the likes of Smith on his skillset alone.
I don't know why you assume that he is shot. He got his orbital broken but gave a good account of himself before that and on his comeback fight he looked great. I know that it was against not the best opponent but he looked fresh nevertheless, can't say he fell off based on that.
