this weekend gonna be busy
Frampton vs Donaire
Tete vs Narvaez
Khan vs Lo Greco
Broner vs Vargas
Charlo vs Centeno
Tank vs Cuellar
Least interesting to me is the Khan matchup. It supposed to be a tune up for Khan and I expect it to be just that nothing more.
Tete should beat Narvaez without many problems, Narvaez is significantly smaller and older than Tete, he also has a whooping 8 inch reach disadvantage and an almost 7 inch height disadvantage. Add that Tete is sharp and works well from the outside... It could get ugly
Frampton should decision Donaire if he got anything left. Donaire is still not a bad fighter but I doubt he gonna win if Frampton can recollect himself. If the same Frampton shows up who showed up on his last fight then anything can happen though... We will see how mentally shot Frampton really is... I don't like the way he sounds and looks since the LSC defeat. It wasn't even a bad defeat cause he was competitive in the loss but seems like it really didn't do any good for him mentally. Maybe he is the type who can't proceed a loss even if it was competitive. I still pick Frampton via UD, maybe not wide but a Frampton W, I think he's got enough in the tank for that.
As I wrote in the fight thread I think Vargas defeats Broner cause simply he's gonna be too active.
Finally I don't expect any upset on the Charlo and Tank fights. If Tank prepared correctly this time and he can make the weight without problem I can't really see him losing to Cuellar. Cuellar is a tough guy but he is limited, he was picked apart by Mares in 126, I doN't even know how that ended up in an SD and at this stage of their career I think of Tank as a better fighter than Mares. Also he is bigger.
An opponent who likes to march forward but one dimensional, not very fast and has a leaky defense... he is brought there to make Tank look good. If Tank is sloppy, didn't prepare well, can't take out Cuellar early and gasses by the end then Cuellar might have a chance to rally but I don't think this will happen.
So Cuellar's only chance if Tank didn't take the preparation seriously imo
Charlo should KO Centeno sometimes, Centeno isn't bad and he is even taller and has longer reach than Charlo but I can't see hi outboxing Jermall the same way he did Aleem and especially can't see him KO Charlo the same way. Charlo is an aggressive fighter but highly adaptable, analytical, he won't get picket apart the same way Aleem was. I just think Charlo is a different level than Centeno.
