cubans still killing it in the amateurs but jusr haven't found their footing at the pros yet. Yan Barthelmy, Gamboa gold medalist who really should have gone further. Odlandier Solis has a record of 3 consecutive gold medals at heavyweight world chapionship amateur but people wouldn't know how good he was
at amateur by lookin at his pro career.

Ever since JRock got knocked out Bread sure do talk a lot about PEDs in his mailbag now or it just me:patrice:like 2 or 3 questions about it in everyone. It just seem funny and before he basically insinuated that Charlo may be on PEDs which is fukked up. I still like to hear his opinions but damn:hubie:.

Breadman is a good example of someone who is articulate and credible otherwise but suffers from the old head syndrome which means he tends to put the past on piedestal while downsizing the present era(s). He often talks about why x and y are bad in this era but not the past eras. I think it’s not that one sided as he sometimes pictures it.

A good example of this is his obsession with the PED topic. It can be argued that it is an important problem, sure, but I think he still exaggerates it. He also calls this era the “PED era”, he doesn’t even think about the possibility of more fighters getting popped today because the more sophisticated and widespread testing and not because fighters in the 70s and 80s (when PEDs ran rampant on Olympics too in some sports) didn’t abuse anything at all.
