just saw this. might be looking too deep but it fits and its def something Gould and Gilligan would do. I like the idea.
It's their interpretation of the scene and as always the old reddit geek ego selfstroke that I hate. Was you on when BB was airing? Damn. Those geeks were having full blown autistic narratives spawning from the smallest stuff.

Want to also say I have watched the scene with Walt and Jesse a few times on YouTube and they all did a great job of recreating that feeling of breaking bad between them all. Saul fast talking quick wit, Walt dark and sinister but coughing due to cancer Jesse young b boy type that says shyt like yo and calls Mr white a dikk when he bossing him around like he his elder. Being off screen so many years, I've seen shows do reunions and the chemistry is not quite the same. That scene def felt like a deleted scene from breaking bad rather then a recreation with everyone not quite the same as they were in the original show. Great job.

Man I wish they had more eps/scenes post-"Breaking Bad".

There will be more in the next 2 eps but I mean, there's a lot they haven't addressed in this series, or "El Camino".

There has been a few references to Walt but they should show how the world views him on a pop culture level.

Dude would be a god in the streets. There's already a gang of rappers/songs that reference him or the show....if he was real he'd be seen as another Big Meech, something like that.

BMF made far more money than him but just the fact that he killed Gus, had cartels after him, etc. would make his legacy crazy.

Hell, Gus would have a following too. Operated under the radar for 20 years, took out an entire cartel dolo....

I trust these writers and it won't impact the show at all if they don't address any of this....but I'm curious why they're not.

I wish they had this Jeff to begin with, the original actor was far too imposing for Saul to be ordering around like this. Dude had a low key menacing vibe that I don't think would work with what they're doing with the
My friend told me, on a legit BB/BCS podcast, they were gonna use the character in a different direction, but changed it when they couldn’t get the OG. Said Peter Gould talked about it, but didn’t go into details.

Hmmm....it might be the official pod cast, they do one for every episode.

I used to listen to the one for "Breaking Bad" and I occasionally listen to the "BCS" one but they're disorganized as fukk. There is some good tidbits of info sprinkled in but it's just the writers/directors/actors/etc. sitting around chatting for like 60-90 minutes, with no real format.

What you're saying is true but I don't think the writers wanted the viewer to feel good about Walt in the end. Having him be looked at as a God would kinda take away from his final convo with Skyler where he was finally humbled.. All my opinion though

Yeah the writers said they were kinda :picard: at how fans viewed Walt, especially towards the end because he was never meant to be an antihero or good guy....the whole point of the series is, he turns into a villain.

But at the same time....dude would be a legend in the dope game.

So I get what you're saying but these writers are talented enough that they could show killers and gangsters idolizing him, without actually glorifying what he did.

Like I said it's not a big deal either way though. :yeshrug:
